Wilson Lead Tape

Hey!

Just bought the Wilson Lead tape pack (2x50cm) and I can't understand how much lead tape is one gram!

On the back it says 1 cm is 1 gram. Yet by my calculations (20g per 50cm strip) and the 1 inch marking on the tape, 1 inch is 1 gram.

Which is true then, and how much is one gram in centimeters?

Buy a scale, you need it to record your changes. You should also have a balance board.
I found any tennis lead tape to be 2 inches = 1 gram. I have not bought the Wilson.
I buy golf tape in the golf stores which is 1 inch = 1 gram so I can use less tape.

How wide is your tape? The 0.25 inch wide (6.35mm) tape available at TW is generally 4 inches per gram, the 0.5 inch wide (12.7mm) tape is 2 inches per gram. You state that the tape is 2 X 50 cm, so if it is indeed 2cm wide, then it would be about 3/4 inch per gram. But that also assumes the Wilson lead tape is the same thickness as most of the brands sold at TW, which is likely the case, as I'm betting most companies just buy & resell standard 3M lead tape.
