how do these 2 compare?? I've always used pro overgrips, but i'd like to switch to a black grip because playing 4 times a week on clay the white ones just get dirty and worn out too quickly! Thoughts??

You'd be better off switching to Yonex Super Grap, Prince Duratac, or Gamma Supreme if you need a non-white grip. When i'm not using tournagrip i use Prince Microzorb in yellow, it doesn't get dirty-looking as fast as the white grip.

I have not used the regular Pro ones, but I have used the soft version. Defiantly not a tacky feeling grip, not that it is slippery. They feel very absorbent but still keep enough tack to allow for a sure hold without feeling rubberized.

I defiantly plan to try the regular Wilson Pro out and compare the two.

The pro soft is thicker, almost like 2 regular pro's. So take that into consideration as it will increase your grip size.

The feel is a bit different: because the pro soft is thicker it's also softer, like the name suggests, so some people who like a hard grip will not like this one. It's also less stretchy than regular pro because it's so thick.

I love Wilson Pro Soft Overgrip.

But it's not the same as Wilson Pro at all. It's more of the sort of grip that stays in your hand when it gets wet. (not by tackiness but just by how the material feels on your hand)

If you already like Wilson Pro, you probably wont like Wilson Pro Soft.

Also I was using the black for awhile and I got a bad batch one day (it was almost completely slippery and had no grip), so I wont buy anymore.

The White is okay.

I noticed the different colors seem to feel different depending on the color pigment, and I happen to like the Orange or Yellow the best because they have a sort of micro-texture to them for some reason.

I know it bites because a black grip looks bad @ss on the right racquet, but it's not worth it if it's not a good grip.

i agree. Thanks for your insight. I'll try out the yellow one, cos it still looks quite cool on a kblade98!
