Wise 2086 vs new machine

I have a Pro's pro challenger 2, which is the cheapest possible dropweight. I'm planning either buying a Wise 2086 tensioner or a new electronic stringer. I'm happy with the Challenger and there's nothing wrong with it. Never tried any other machine, but maybe the clamps aren't the best possible?

So do you think I'll be fine with the Challenger+wise or should I invest in more expensive electronic stringer?
I mostly string for myself, but I want to make it as easy as possible, not a big fan of stringing.

Similar to the Gamma X6FC, etc. What do you not like about the clamps? If they slip, adjust or clean them.

You could put the WISE on this machine, but if it is clamps you don't like, don't do it and get something else like the Gamma ST II. If you don't like the trial/error of using a DW, but are otw OK with the clamps, then get a WISE. That's my opinion. :D

The clamps hold but they leave marks on the strings. But I guess it doesn't matter because they are near the frame and I don't break strings because of them.

I’d get the wise, then down the road you can always get something like a alpha apex speed or gamma 6004 and swap the wise to that.

It is normal for clamps to ghost multis and NG. Marks on SG or poly means they are too tight. For brittle strings like Monogut ZX, you could actually nick the string and have a break there.
