That’s the other side of the world lol. Can’t they just fight it out where they are right now?Let Djokovic and the Australian government fight it out before the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
And we all here have soem entertainment which is far more interesting than these boring tennis matches.
It's becoming clear in comment sections, social media and websites that Djokovic's fan base is now more ideologically driven and that he is attracting people who self-identify with the ideological space they imagine him to represent.
The people who support him going forward, will likely be doing so on national/ethnic grounds (clear limits geographically and demographically) or because they view Novak as one of their own ideologically.
Hold the tournament but don't call it open.
It's basically Moderna and Pfizer Open now.
The people who support him going forward, will likely be doing so on national/ethnic grounds (clear limits geographically and demographically) or because they view Novak as one of their own ideologically.
It's Now
The same can be said about droves of new haters he's gained in the last week or so, thanks to a disinformation war waged by the media to paint him as the villain. There are people who never followed tennis who came in just to attack himAnd once he is out of the news, and whenever his career is finished, many will disappear as quickly as they appeared.
I probably know more about his game (which I've always liked) than many of them. They are not here for the tennis, but other causes.

That's not mentioning his tennis haters, who have always disliked him, and are now using this as an excuse to kick him some more while he's down

Most people got their vaccine not even a year ago. Why are you assuming there can't be side effects after 5 years? If the scientists are sure that's unlikely, then they also should have been able to know the vaccines would wane in efficacy and also become less effective at reducing spread. They didn't know that ...
I say no, keep it there but if you are going someplace else, maybe not Florida. Just google Florida man or women and hit enter. Plus they already have half the sunshine double in Miami.Australia has no business hosting international sporting events if they can't figure out how to get the world's best athletes into their country without humiliating them and creating a gigantic firestorm. Move it to Florida or anywhere else where freedom still exists.
There are a lot of people on other forums saying they used to support him but no more. Of course some of that might be in bad faith but probably not all.
We forget that for a lot of people who say they're fans of someone, that means they cheer for them at Grand Slams but barely think about them the rest of the time. It's all those casual fans that he's lost.
that's just somewhat overblown sentiment, I was born in Melbourne and still live here now, as long as you had followed the rules and got vaxxed then everything is same as usual, yes we did have the most days in lockdown of anywhere in the world but things are back to normal now, the irony is that if they let Djokovic play then that means the government is in fact incompetent because they can't even follow their own rules by favoring the famous Djokovic and letting him into Aus and to play the AO
I have cheered for Djokovic quite a few times over the years. (*) I will not do so again.
* I wouldn't say I supported him. I actually haven't had a real favorite in decades. But he was one of my preferred players.
Srdjan would disagree with you, violently.Postpone the AO for one player? It wouldn't matter if he had won 20 AO titles, no one player is bigger then the sport
