Have anyone had this experience before? i played a long tennis day and my wrist hurts the day after. I never played that long before.. most i played is around 6 hours but that day it was 9hours. with hardly any breaks.

My right wrist hurts on the top right side of it...(near the bumpy bone bit)
Only hurts when i turn it side to side..i can hear a slight click click..

The pain isnt bad but its annoying and i am still play tennnis today..but i just want it to go away..

Anyone had this pain? and what did u do? any exercises to help it go away?

Thanks!

My pain, left wrist, left side, back of hand, base of pinkie finger.
Had it for about 7 years. Still do.
The human body is not built for playing extended tennis.

That happened to me.
I thought I could ice it and down my body weight's worth of ibuprofen to make it go away.

Turns out I've been playing tennis on a fracture, and I almost had it worked clean through my entire scaphoid bone before I decided to stop.

My right arm is in a cast now, and will be in one for at least another 2 months.

Stretch the wrist when it hurts, and try to do it before playing, and Definitely do it after playing.

Ibuprofen and rest are your friends

Do people think it's actually rational to play nine hours in a day. Your wrist hurts because of joint trauma and you are on your way to having arthritis of the wrist that will cause you to give up tennis. This is a repetitive stress syndrome and you're headed for trouble. People will give you absurd suggestions like "stretch the wrist" -- please explain to me what structures in the wrist would benefit from stretching.

REST.

If it stops hurting, build up activities very gradually so that it doesn't recur.

If it is not better real soon, go see a hand specialist and get examined by a real expert. Clearly tennis way to important to you to fool around, and risk being out for months (or longer) or turning something that could be "cured" with rest into something that will require surgery and extensive rehab.

This happened to me when I made a change to my forehand stroke. It hurt after I play, but not really during tennis. Me had a bad stretch of cold and rain and I didn't play for a week or so. The pain went away and didn't come back. I think some rest will help quite a bit.
