Yonex addicts call-out !

That's kind of my point. Saying that certain racquet sizes are better for certain players is misleading. 95sq.in frames have all but disappeared in the market and have been replaced by the 97-100sq.in frames. The difference in head size is largely negligible since the differences between the sizes come down to weight and balance more than the actual stringbed area.
And....plenty of pros play with 100s and would destroy us. Racquets are interesting and we all have our personal preference. That said, I believe that I could pick any reasonable racquet and if I stuck it with for 6 months+, there would be little to no difference in my play level. Experience, talent, athleticism, footwork...etc...are so much more important. Heck...jumping rope for 5 min a day would likely have a bigger impact for most of us. Now...let’s get back to talking racquets - it’s fun :)

I just switched from smaller, heavier frames to larger, lighter ones and my game has improved significantly. I guess I would say it's better to put it as better players have the ability to play with smaller frames but don't have to.

Love playing with Vcore F93 modified to 364g. I play doubles and it is excellent for returning serves and very accurate volleying. Comes with a 16/21 string pattern for an evenly spaced string pattern.

I love Yonex extended length racquets. If I were a bit younger, the RD Ti-70 Long would be my number 1 racquet - its the PT280 of long racquets. Right now though, I would put either the SV Vcore 98+ or DR 98+ as my number one Yonex.

The Duel g 330 is still my main racquet. I thought yonex ruined it with the vcore pro line. I’d be curious to see how the duel g compares to the Regna 98.

@Wheelz Yes I liked the denser stringbed for doubles because I could hit into smaller windows with the added control. I could also use thinner strings and lower the heavy swing weight a bit. The newer vcore pro feel like they have a smaller head and thicker beam even though it says otherwise. The blue vcore pro felt less stable but the green one seems to have fixed it.

Tour players endorse what the sponsor sells globally. Regna is a small production and normally Japan only racquet, so not suitable for tour endorsements even if a player wanted to use it, the answer would most likely be no from Yonex.
Sorry your argument does not make sense. A lot of experts here swear that a lot of pros play exclusive pro stock models sometimes with special lay up and non standard drillings like djoker uses. so an important pro could just easily play a Regna under a different current paintjob of another model. The point is, sometimes a manufacturer makes a product super special by selling it at an absurd high price and limiting its supply. Japanese are very interested in such exlusive products just appearantly some TWU members who mistakenly thing more expensive is always better.

The regna is supposed to be a mashup of all of yonex's high tech. They make this highly exclusive and generally limited it's sale in japan. They make 200 a month? So it is generally a rare and exclusive racket to purchase. I don't think the goal of the regna is too have pros endorse and hype it up, just instead to showcase the tech that yonex's uses. They also have plenty of sticks that are more user friendly and available so why hype up a racket you can't actively sell when you can get the ezone to roll of the shelves.

I just got off a chat w/TW support staff regarding Regna frames, they are play testing both now, published review to follow (he didn't say exactly when) -one reason for the price is limited production.
Good to hear that well get an official review from tw. Though the price range is still gonna be galaxies out of where I would feel comfortable paying

The process on how the carbon layup is done in the throat is far more time consuming and requires special training on the part of the workers involved, according the vids on how it’s made. More time is spent on the manufacture, so it costs more to make. Is it fair and reasonable for Yonex to charge us accordingly, yes it is. Is it a better racquet, that is for the user to decide.

As to the pros use argument, maybe we will see a Regna out there on tour, who knows what the future holds.

Top for me have been:
Ezone Tour 98
Vcore Pro HD
Vcore Pro 330 (blue)
I feel like I’ve had the best tennis with the EZT as of late but I’m also testing the new VCore 98 and comparing it to the prior gen.
