Yonex DR 98+ vs. new VCORE 98+

Is there anyone who tried VCORE 98+ and who have been using DR 98+ before?

I have been using DR 98+ for about 1 year and very happy with it. I am searching for a new racket with hopefully some improvement on the "feel" over my DR98+.

6 vs 8 main strings, the VCORE will always win for power and spin, but for many, a tad more 'loose'!

I only recently played with the DR98+ again, as a comparison with the VC. I came from the RF97 to the SV98+ to the VC98+.

I used both the DR 98+ and the Vcore 98+ fairly extensively.

I agree with Sardines - the Vcore 98+ is not quite a plush feeling as the DR98+, which is an extremely comfortable and soft hit. That said, the Vcore 98+ does have a nice feel, and definitely softer and more plush than its predecessor - the SV 98+. Don’t think you can go wrong with either on feel but i’m not sure the Vcore would represent an upgrade over the DR in that department.

Overall the Vcore is a bit better for my game because I like the thinner beam of the Vcore 98+ which makes me feel like I have a little more control over the racquet head (especially on one handers) and overall there is more spin and put away power with the Vcore which I prefer. However, the DR 98 is a great racquet and might be the better racquet for a true all court player.

DR98 + is so soft that you end up feeling nothing at all...
SV98+ is not manœuvrable enough at net
Just my two cents

I made the move from Dr98+ to Vc98+. To me the VC+ is the Dr+ turned to 11. Power is a tad better. The spin is quite comparable, I actually thought there was gonna a more noticeable difference. I feel the VC+ feels softer on the arm despite the higher ra rating. It is what surprised me the most between the two.

However the main reason I switched was the power on the serve. The VCORE is noticeably better. I already had a pretty good serve at 110+mph on the radar with my DR+, but the VC+ is even better for me. Unfortunately I have no radar readings yet but I didn’t need the radar to tell me that my speed is faster.

finally, he balance is better for me too and it made the switch even easier. I always add leather grips to my frames and the DR98+ is already quite head light. So I needed quite a bit of lead to the head to balance it. The VC+ being a bit less head light meant that for me I could achieve my power and balance targets with very little lead. Meaning that I get where I want to be with a bit less static and swing weight. For my game it was a no brainer.

Your mileage may vary, both are very good frames. Both have power and spin. Both feel quite good. It just seems that everything the DR does, the VC does it just a bit better.

Haven't hit with the plus version of the V Core's but concur with many posts here that the DR series has the nicest feel. To me the Ezone while nice to play with feels tinny compared to the DR which feels more richer and solid.
What I like about the current V Core is that it's more comfortable than the previous SV range. For me the V Core 95 is a gem.
My guess is what you will find with the V Core 98 + is a quicker feeling racquet compared to your DR 98+ which could be an interesting development for you.

Do you experience any difference between Dr98+ to Vc98+ at the net?

Nothing significant. The VC+ might be a tad more stable stock. However I had quite a bit of lead added to my dr+ so not a fair fight. My VC+ feel a bit more maneuverable because of that.

Stock against stock, the VC+ might have a slight edge for power and stability but the DR+ might have a bit more feel.

Not really a differentiating factor in my opinion.
