Hey all. Long time gone but have been back to playing tennis again the last year or so, after a stint with Pickleball. Been playing lately with a Head Graphene XT Speed MP and a Graphene XT Instinct MP. Like them both but have fond memories of playing with the Yonex Ezone AI98 5 years ago. Does anyone know what replaced this model and what is the current version? Thanks

Try the current EZone 98.

If you just want to try something in the family, go backwards and try and get an XI98. I've used the AI and DR, and like the XI the most.

Got an XI 98 if you want, just let me know.
I haven’t tried the DR, but the XI feels more closer to the Ezone 2017 (?) to me. The Ai (and from what I hear the DR) to me, feels like the new Ezone 2020.

The Ai98 was unique in that it was flexible. It works for Osaka because she can generate her own power and the flex helps with control.

I play w angell tc95 330g version, for the last few years and played tc97 330 before that...but recently pulled out my ai98 and it was hitting well, although its too light for me now.

Just looked and you can’t find the old AI 98 anywhere.
I just bought the now superceded Yonex EZone 98 G (305g, lime green) as I'm starting play again the next few weeks after a good couple of years off. I was really surprised when browsing the current range, just how many rackets are now over £170-£200 mark over here, so I couldn't justify a new model to myself.
