I don't see it...

The boy has little basic technique, and above all he moves badly.
He runs clumsy.

He has only so much power.

The worst thing about this guy isnt the fact he loses so early- it's the fact he just accepts it. You cant change a loser mentality

Its a bit harsh to call a loser someone that at age 22 already has 11 titles, 3 Masters 1000, 2 of them won over Djokovic and Federer. The guy obviously has some issues at majors but, loser? come on.

I never said he was a loser, I said he had a losers mentality which is true if you look at the press conferences after his loss at RG and today. He just accepts the fact he isnt good enough at slams and does nothing about it.

What? Didn't he just win the WTF? A lot of players would kill for his resume and he's only 22 years old. He just made the quarters of Roland Garros. Why is he so low on confidence?

Horrible year so far for him while he probably thought he was going to get better , As everyone expected that too , He has a lot of pressure and yet to reach the QF’s in 3/4 majors getting destroyed by players ranked much lower , He has only won 1 title this year which was an ATP 250.

Agree. Also, it's not just the issues at majors now. Off the court, he's struggling with many problems that are taking away his time to prepare both physically and mentally. He's just not in tennis atm. And judging by his press conference, it will take quite some time to fix.

This has drifted from "funny" into "sad" territory

These repeated losses at least taught him some humility

I've never been of Zverev as a player, I always thought he was a bit overrated as I feel a lot of folks jumped way too early on that bandwagon. With that being said, I think his situation is quite sad and I sincerely hope he will be able to turn things around at some point and maybe live up to the expectations that a lot of people put on him. The mental aspect of the game is often underrated yet it's just as important if not more than the technical aspect of the game, heck it's what separates the top guys from the rest. I don't care how good one can be technically speaking, if you lack confidence and you lose it every time things get tight, you'll never progress. Overcoming this issue will be hard for Zverev and I suspect that the partnership with him & Lendl isn't paying off. He seems to have regressed since Ivan joined his team, so perhaps it's time to go seek help elsewhere? I think he needs to find a coach that will help him believing in himself, just like what Magnus Norman did for Wawrinka.

Anyone remember video from youtube when pro's were asked who posses best backhand in game, 99% players answer Djokovic but only Zverev answer: ME. in fact,in many question he answer:ME. However,Djokovic only respond was:RESPECT.

Anyway.my point is where is now that backhand, serve etc.. This boy needs as quickly possible find some shrink to cool him down on earth.
