For me this is already one of most fishy stuff the sport history not just tennis ever seen. You can twist as much as you can like he is special talent blah blah. Sometimes ı wonder especially for the last 4 or 5 years that are we watching a REAL COMPETİTİON or is it all fixed behind the closed doors ??? It is pretty clear in my eyes that there are some fixed matches, results and ı dont even need to mention drugs. For me Djokovic and Murray pretty much no where to be seen all year is secret protest as well or maybe it is their deal with the officials. Fed is old in tennis terms very old plus he has some back problem come and go day to day. GİVE ME A BREAK. I know he has die hard fans and he is big star but how an earth do guys even excited for this crap stuff which isnt even looking all that REAL anymore.

He hasn't even been 36 for a month -- and he hasn't been in great shape since that point. So you need to either revise the title of this thread or delete this rubbish altogether.

Yes he was 35 years old and 4 months old and barely played for 6 months because of back problems when he won multiple 5 sets matches on his way to AO title.

I agree. His states look like they're made up.

The fact that they're obviously not says all that needs to be said about him.

You are so wrong it looks rigged for the last 4 or 5 years. Not just this year.
Yeah Nadal and Djokovic are also such amazing champions it looks faked too.

Nadal winning 10 RG looks faked. That's how good he is.

Djoker destroying prime Rafa all those times looks staged. That's how good he is.

The message: Be so good that it goes beyond what many think possible.

We are fortunate as hell to be witnessing this.

There were times ı think it was exciting and we are lucky to see the likes of Fed,Nadal,Djokovic. Not anymore.

So you admit you exaggerated in hopes of making people side with your views.

I can understand that Djoker's dominance followed by Fed's resurgence has bothered some Rafa fans. ;)

Believe it or not ı am huge Rafa fan but he also not makes me excited anymore. I barely watched the clay court season.
Then why this?
Why accuse all the players of being corrupt rather than just being awesome?
Including your one-time favourite?

They get packets of money for winning and even just showing up. Why would they be interested in rigging it?

Sorry because ıt looks rigged now. I feel it isnt just up the players how the things going. I think officials feels x or y guys keep wining it brings more money.

Well you're entitled to your opinion, but if you want to convince others you need both a motive and hard evidence of this.

Roger and Rafa both said many times in interviews that their comeback its good for our sport so maybe you are right. I think all sports some level of fixation is gonna occur when big money is involved.
Sucks but true.

Maybe we need our own ATP with Suresh and play some real matches.

Media have hyped him up to the point where people are scared to play him, especially the clowns of his era. Universal home advantage/crowd support - don't underestimate the advantage that could give you, especially in an individual sport. Weak era of course has something to do with it as well.

The real Djokovic and Nadal are being held in a prison near the Switzerland Germany border by Robert Federer. Impostor Novak and impostor Rafa were hired to boost Feds legacy.

You should have said by Luthi or Ljubicic. people might have believed you. Robert federer seems too nice of a guy :D

lol, explain the inexplicable losses from Nadal and Federer this year, then? Losses that didn't happen when they were at their peaks. You refuse to analyze the way, how and why of Federer and Nadal's winning this year and want to claim "rigged" instead. Then again, conspiracy theorists aren't know much for in-depth thinking.

Maybe it was always like this but it wasnt looking like big joke it was before. I feel like there is some fixation going since 2013. So it isnt just a fed thing.

I never said they cant lose but you are right. That should be the next step.

This year has been a bit 'too good to be true' but you can make arguments for both sides especially since how Fed has been making finals in previous years but no I agree with you and I don't think you are first thread about this either.

Let me help you out. During the AO, Federer was so economical with his movement that if he felt a rally slip away, he'd mix up his strategy or go for an aggressive shot to end the point, win or lose. He also didn't doggedly chase down nearly as many balls as he could have to conserve energy. He literally took dozens of less steps per match than his opponent. If he got broken in a set, his step count went down even further which is one of the contributing factors to him going 5 sets in multiple matches. Here's a good analysis: https://2017.ausopen.com/en_AU/news/articles/2017-01-26/ao_expert_skipping_steps_moving_on.html

All this strategy means that Federer kept the points shorter and played quickly to, again, save energy. None of his matches went past 3.5 hours despite the length. He's employed the same strategy in Wimbledon and the now the USO.

Nadal, while not really being more economical with his movement, is trying to employ similar strategy to what he did in 2010 and 2013 on faster surfaces. Only now he's doing it with all his matches. He's serving more aggressively and with more varied placement. He's flattening out his forehands, hitting more classic topspin backhands, and moving forward into the net to finish points. All to not grind his knees and wrists into dust.

On top of all that, Federer and Nadal employ their own traveling trainers, physios, multiple coaches and take plenty of time to off-court to relax and unwind. They both make so much money outside of tennis that they can afford the best when it comes to sports science to aid in preserving their bodies. The final advantage they have, of course, is that they are especially gifted athletically and solid as rocks mentally.

I would love to agree with OP.. If there were any proofs. It's all a painting on water otherwise.

I think op says it's the chemtrails in the planes, with the help of illuminatis which fixed the tennis matches, right?

If there would have been any open proof they would be all banned. Never say never though nothing keeps secret forever but ı never meant ı am some sort wikileaks person though.

Like most conspiracy theories, this doesn't even make sense.

There are so many scenarios over the last 5 years where you could make a better ''soap opera'' of events for marketability.

Young, flamboyant and volatile star who challenges and goes toe-to-toe with the big four? Never happened.

A male Kournikova who grips the watching public with his dashing looks, stylish play and deep runs in Grand Slams? Grigor could have fit the bill, but the actual result is that most people wouldn't be able to identify him in a crowded street, anywhere outside Sofia.

I like all of the big four, but if we're honest, Andy and Novak don't generate the same interest as Rafa and Roger, yet they - along with Stan and Cilic - won every Grand Slam title between W 2014 - USO 2016.

Wawrinka, for example, is a bit of a hero amongst certain portions of tennis fans, but him zoning and vanquishing Nadal and Djokovic in 3 Grand Slam finals is not really known or celebrated in the wider world of sport.

Of course there will be other players who will win slam here in there. Otherwise Rafa and Roger would have already won more than 20 slams. They would probably reached the numbers pretty much close to ladies record. Dimitrov example is also very funny. He always seen as a bad copy of Fed from day one.

Different age unlike the 90s. Even the old greats played well in their late 30s. Rosewall, connors, Agassi. Just some names.

To be honest ı dont care that much about Laver,Rosewall times it was pretty much very amateur sport back then.Agassi played well but by no means he was dominant. He retired age 36.

Well Agassi doesn't have federer's game. One thing also to consider's that fed for the most part has been injury free with the exception of the knee surgery he had. He has had back issues lately. I think the game's a lot different then even the 80s and 90s
