you know guys... i cant help but think. . the last few iterations have the dynamic string spacing which to be honest is just not with the times. most of us want to maximize the open patterns these days. its not like the ig was that open to begin with. but why is Head taking the openness away. we dont want dynamic. i dont anyway. and leave the leather grips on. . dont you want at least one line to have leather?
Then you have the 21mm beams of the youtek and youtek ig which i love. more feel, better whip through the contact zone. need i say more. Its time to stock up on the youteks.

The string spacing is the same on the IGPrestige Pro and the Graphene/XT Prestige Pro. Dynamic string spacing is called marketing.

no it’s not. There is a difference on the graph genes. The middle mains are slightly closer together

theres nothing like a 21mm beam

I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with you on that. 21mm is nice and thin, but I prefer 16-20mm beams to the 21mm, Especially when they maintain stability and solid feel which I suppose the 21mm gets more easily. For me, I've found that 20mm is the best compromise of stability/solidity and feel/knife-ness although I can't pass up 16-19mm or 21mm either. Basically, they're all awesome but I've found that 20mm is my favorite. Right, sorry for the hijack. Bye lol

I disagree
i called head USA. And spoke to a rep. And asked him this question. He didn’t know. But he will get back to me tomorrow. He said.
If there isn’t a difference then why would they go into the whole dynamic string patten bs. Yes I hear you for marketing. But that would be very odd to me if that were the case. Let’s see

They will be so truthful and honest too. I wonder why the grommets are interchangeable then?

That is why the grommets are interchangeable???
Same pattern, same spacing.
Thanks dr! Why do people not want to accept the truth?

I think the dynamic spacing might have been an excuse for the Rev Pro not being 18x20. They knew what the reaction would be so they wanted to talk up the density.

The frames are a bit more tinny without twaron? Let’s call them titanium!

How is Head actually doing in terms of sales? Someone got any insight in this? Do the Graphene's actually cause a declince?

Prestiges seems to always catch some attention. Many great players in my area use them. Same thing when i was on vacation. They usualy grew up with them and just stick to the beam. I highly believe speed line got a lot of fans. Maybe even couches using prestige suggest speed to their students as a transition to the holy beam. Speeds got more "magic" prestige is raw.

i hardly ever see anyone using prestige frames ... their numbers have to be down. I do see Speed frames being used and Extreme frames. In general popularity the most widely used frames seem to be Babolat Aero and Pure Drive and Wilson Blades.

I mostly see older Prestige frames. It’s rare when I see someone using the latest Graphene XT. When they go on sale you will see a lot more.

Its the same beam width, and head size, and its 62RA as the old Radical's. I got your pun. Just pointing out what happened.
Ok fair points. Similar specs too. Only missing 18x20. Thought you might've been talking about the older Radicals with 21mm beam widths.

Kind of makes me want to reach into the closet and pull out some of my IG Mids. I shall refrain from doing so.

Newer Head frames aren't meant for serious players other than Jrs to use. And good Jrs use them. In my opinion, it takes someone who has never hit with any racquet before 2014, or someone who doesn't know Head's history, to like these racquets.

Can you explain your opinion that Head frames aren't meant for serious players. I'm curious why Head seems to be a bit of punching bag on these forums. Thanks. PS: I hit with the new Prestige Pro and doesn't play too differently than the current frame. Less polarized but close to the same.

Well fwiw, I'm looking for a back up XTPmp for my 17yo. He cracked his with a hard mishit (I know right, cheap). I don't like it (and I used Prestiges for almost 4 yrs) but I can't pry it out of his hands.

Head versus Wilson fanwars seem to be an extension of some sort of cultural antipathy toward Europe, which, oddly enough, other European brands don't suffer from.

I'm pretty sure there is this problem. I still don't see why Americans feel Wilson is American. They see what they want to see.

People seem to slobber over Prince for the same reasons even though it's been owned by a tennis-unfriendly company for some time.
You're not even close.

America vs Europe? Ridiculous. When you say here that a racquet is made in Austria/Germany/Belgium the price raises immediately

It is ridiculous, but people buy on emotion. This is a fact and companies know this very well. People just are ridiculous.
