1. Djokovic (would make for an awesome story)
2. Nadal (how epic would "La Undecima" be)
3. Del Potro (gentle giant deserves it, would make me very happy)
4. Schwartzman (I like this guy a lot and admire how far he’s gone on the tour despite his short stature)
5. Thiem
6. Cilic
7. Cecchinato
8. Zverev

2. Del Potro (his one slam resume doesn’t do him justice, damn you injuries)
3. Djokovic (who doesn’t love a comeback story?)
4. Schwartzman (one of my best friends is short and really self conscious about it so this would inspire him!)
5. Cilic (meh, I don’t dislike the dude but he’s not appealing to me)
6. Nadal (yawn, it’s getting boring now)
7. Cecchinato (proven match fixer, screw him)

Just delete you Federer avatar. No way you are a Federer fan, and don’t place Nadal as the last in the list, given the slams record count risks that represent.

I learned a long time ago that on this site you can’t be a Fedal fan. But I guees it’s hard to grasp the concept for idiots like yourself. And I like Roger much more than Rafa btw.

Nothing about Nadal winning would be epic imo. And same with Fed winning Wimbledon (as the competition looks atm).

However, it would keep the slam race interesting, which is one of the only interesting things in the current tennis landscape right now.

So I guess it would be epic in that sense.

Yo gotta admit if Nadal doesn’t win this , Thiem deserves it , Great guy, Two RG semis in a row, Friends of Rafa , Djokovic doesn’t get a Double career GS and nobody can talk bad about Thiem being Rafa’s competition on Clay cause he’s a RG Champion

Winning a Slam 11 times is epic in my book. And Rafa has already proven he can win the whole thing with ease in a tougher field, although this weak era sure helps a lot.

Yeah, the Slam race is still by far the most interesting thing in tennis and both guys actually push each other by winning more, so it’s good for the competition. Even though Fed’s Slam record is probably safe already. And even if it’s not, I find it idiotic to root against Rafa since he’s my second favourite, for fear he would surpass Federer, my first favourite, who is not even in the tournament. He’d earn it.

I'm with you. Who really cares who ends up with more slams? :rolleyes: People who live vicariously through these players are nutsos IMO. Yes, it would be nice if Federer finishes with the most slams but if Nadal can somehow manage it(it will be difficult I think), more power to him. I really can't hate Nadal for having a champion's mentality(only losers think like that.) I either like a player or I don't.

The slam race is one of the only current interesting happenings in tennis right now due to depleted fields rife with mediocrity and ineptitude.

So I don't blame people being into/invested in the slam race. You can be into it without losing sleep over it.
