Head Radical OS Ltd release

I have a Zebra twintube I bought a couple months ago, I'm really interested in how these would compare spec wise. I know a guy that uses the I.radical edition, but not sure if that mold is defferent to the TI. radical version.

I can see the difference in specs but can anybody compare this to the POG/PCG 107 in terms of overall performance?

EDIT: Given a choice, this or the POG 107?

I saw these things at sports authority back in06 going for like 50 bucks

Did you see these with the signature, or did you see the cheap china re-release versions. The chinese re-releases were cheap, and had the original mold. They were a lot lighter... and subsequently felt that way when you hit with them.

I have 3 LEs, and 3 generations of POG OSs. The POGs are cushy comfortable and reward long smooth strokes. The LEs are stiffer, have more pop, but are still comfortable. When I want to relax and have a laugh, I use the POGs. When I want to compete, which is most of the time, I’ll use the LEs.

Attn Mods: could we merge this with the longer running thread https://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/index.php?threads/2018-25-year-anniversary-radical.623293/

The 06 version was also China but used the Ti. Radical Oversize mold. This LTD and the O6 limited edition are BS and not faithful to the original. Not worth buying it. HEAD refuses to do the right thing.
If you want to buy the real Radical Tour 260 Oversize go to the big auction site and buy NOS if you can find it or one that is in good used condition. Don’t waste your money on this fraud.

Thanks. Probably would be interested if it's really the original. Otherwise I won't bother. I have 4 POG 107's myself :)

Like heaven and hell.

Hmmmm. I agree that that Head is price gouging with this 2018 Radical Oversize Limited (which I'll refer to as ROL from hereon), specially on the boxed set. They did the same for the LE back in 06. They said is was "limited" but they made a ton of them, and they ended up marked down by 70% (which was great for me, so I ended up with three). I also agree that that its not the same as the revered Trysis. There something different about the Austrian made frames. You really can't go home anymore.

But the seeming advance hate here for the actual ROL frame, and the LE frame which some here are guessing it's based on, is excessive. I've played a zebra and candy cane before, and currently have LEs. I actually prefer the latter.

I would only admire it if Head release a LE of Zebra based on Ti.Fire layout. :)

Totally hear where you are coming from. The original mold 260 was sublime. I've played with the three mentioned previously, the original will always be the best (of all radicals in my opinion). Having said that, dusting off my '06 recently, it's still a solid graphite stick. Definitely agree with Head refusing to the do the right thing. Nothing pushed me into the arms of Prince faster than graphene.

The truly sad thing is, HEAD makes the Radical Tour 690 (Bumblebee) for Agassi and Sergio Casal. HEAD has the ability, the mold, and materials to make the racquets but they choose not to. you have to ask why can't they do the right thing? To me this 25th anniversary Radical has absolutely no value because its not a real Radical Tour 690 (Trisys 260 Bumblebee). They had a great idea but once again failed on execution.

Amazing how HEAD can do it for their Pros but can't for us with money in our hand. They will sell those fake racquets to Agassi fans and people that don't know any better.

Right? The ONLY thing I can imagine (besides HEAD having their collective heads up their arses) is that they no longer own the rights to the mold. Perhaps they sold it to Donnay for their Pro-One lines or maybe they sold it and the brand they sold it too never used it.... I dont know.

HEAD very much owns the mold and is very different than the Donnay Pro One

Sorry I know this is a few months old-

I just purchased the Head Radical OS Ltd. 2018 and love it. I have nothing to compare it to as I am coming from a Yonex DR 98.

Is it just a Flexpoint Radical with the Bumblebee paint job? Anybody play with 90s Radicals and know how the Limited compares? Should I buy the original 260 Trysys as a backup and which Radical lines are the best in your opinion?

The LtD 2018 uses the Ti. Radical mold. You don’t see any Flexpoint’s on your racquet do you? Yes, you should buy the orginal. Then you would have the real Radical Tour 260 Oversize. The originals are always the best.

Not to be critical but the original is a bit more stiff and dull compared to the Candy Cane Radical. Still own several Bumblebees. Used the Candy Cane, did not appreciate it.

Lol, i’ve never owned or seen a Radical before this so I wouldn’t know what a Flexpoint is. But I see them now on the Bay so I will pick up a few of those and some titanium ones.

Don’t racquets lose their playability after 30 years? Not sure I want to invest in Agassi’s 1993 and 95 models....

Not if they are not being strung and used or if it is in used mint condition.

Is the ti radical os a decent frame? Found one for $10 at a thrift shop earlier in good condition and bought it.

Wow, I only see Used Kmart special and 40 year old damaged Prince racquets at thrift stores. For $10 does it even half to be half decent? [emoji6]

So what if any is the difference between the Trysys 260 and the Agassi Tour Oversize? I see both on the Bay with the same paint job. Is the Agassi Tour a rerelease from the last decade?
