My wishes

AO, FO, WTF, Year End No.1 and one of (Miami, Shanghai, Paris) for Rafa
A Slam For Dimitrov

Another Slam for Kvitova
Another Slam for Halep

I would like all of this but if it can't all be done, here is my list in order of priority:

  • A second AO to complete the double career grand slam - the first of the ATG3 to do so
  • La duodecima at RG to push him to 18 (maybe 19 if AO happens) slams
  • La duodecima at MC and Barcelona
  • Madrid M1000 title to equal Fed as co Madrid/Hamburg GOAT
  • 9th Rome title so he can have a shot at la decima there in 2020
  • YE # 1
  • WTF title
  • Pass 200 weeks at # 1
  • Miami M1000 title
  • Paris M1000 title
This would end 2019 for Rafa on 19 slams, 5 YE # 1, 200+ weeks at # 1, 1 WTF, the Golden Masters, The M1000 GOAT and the double career grand slam.

I soooo want Nadal to win a second AO.

Out of interest, where do you rate winning a 3rd Wimbledon title in terms of achievements you'd like for Nadal?

Of course I would like but at this stage of his career a 3GS year seems a little unrealistic. A second AO plus another RG is more doable, and I always prefer a second AO over a third wimbledon.

For Federer, another:

For Murray:

For Djokovic:

Fair enough, I agree it would be less realistic. I'd personally like to see him grab another Wimbledon before he retires. He's been unlucky with the competition he's faced there

All I can say is that some people’s wishes are other people’s nightmares.
Don't tell me you dream of Andy Murray cracking a smile of pure joy, which then makes the entire world ever so much brighter, before waking up drenched in sweat and chilled with fear?

What the hell, I'll spread around my New Year's wishes, but most wishes to Roger, of course ...

Fed: Australian Open, Wimbledon, U.S. Open, Tour finals, Monte Carlo, Rome, Sunshine Double, Laver Cup Fed-Rafa doubles win, Year-End No. 1, plus just for fun: Halle, Stuttgart, Basel, Rotterdam and — shock entry! — Washington D.C. This lucky 13 in total titles eclipses his personal best 2006 haul of 12 tournaments.
Thiem: French Open, Madrid, plus another slam final (U.S. Open)
Coric: Slam final (French Open)
Dimitrov: Canada
Tsonga: Paris
Khachenov: Cincinnati
Del Potro: Shanghai
Murray: Dallas Challenger
Zverev: Fourth round of every major
Nadal: Slam final (A.O. in a repeat of 2017), then a final title in Barcelona, followed by the sweet relief of his body finally at rest, his decrepit joints enjoying a fulfilling life of poker, fishing and pasta-gambas cookery (with a surprise return at the Laver Cup, and much sideline cheerleading!)
Djokovic: Inner happiness, guru or no guru (worth more than a tournament really), plus a slam final (Wimbledon)
Coric and Thiem doubles: Wimbledon, ESPN Body Issue

WTA
Venus: Australian Open, Wimbledon, Rome, Miami, Year-End No. 1
Sharapova: French Open, Madrid, tour finals
Osaka: U.S. Open do-over, Canada
Kvitova: Indian Wells, Beijing
Cibulkova: Cincinnati, Doha

For Rafa it’s obvious: to be fully healty.

If it’s so, then he will win almost every tournament he enters next year.

While you're at it, why not go for the full shebang?

CYGS for Djokovic, perfect win-loss record, and all 9 Masters in a single season.

And that he destroys Fed and Nadal with bagels in alternate matches thus cementing the most important statistic of head to heads.
