Looks ample to me. I think since their deal came into play relatively soon, they haven't gotten the sufficient time to make designs and are just starting off with usual, simple colors.

That was my thinking last year but its been long enough to figure out a different design. I'm disappointed this is all they got to show.

In the description it says that Roger helped come up with the color. It says that the blue reminds him of the color of the courts.

I'm thinking Roger might had a bigger influence on his designs than we think. He may have chosen this which I think is far too standard of a kit.

The epitome of generic tennis clothing; that outfit just couldn't be any more nondescript. At least there's presumably still some Nike shoes involved; albeit ones that manage to be both non-retail and boring at the same time.

Exactly. Why get this guy whose gonna be wearing your stuff appealing to other fans other than Nishikori and give him such plain outfits.
Only thing I can think of is that Roger actually has more input than we know. He may be calling the shots (and not doing very well)

The only explanation I can think of is that Uniqlo doesn't care about tennis sales, just want him as Brand Ambassador to launch a line of casual / dress clothing

Naahh. I don't know but if this design shows up again at Indian Wells then I take back all the good things I said about Uniqlo and supported the move from Fed.

It's a very obvious and transparent strategy imo.
The whole point of getting someone like Roger as a brand ambassador is so you can get away with selling clothes that look like this.
Uniqlo has let us down again in terms of providing an interesting kit, but it is business as usual, and I'm sure the fit and material quality is still very good. The one visual highlight of Uniqlo x Roger Federer thus far was his asian swing outfit which was brilliant.

I got the Shanghai pink outfit in the UK and it was the same as regular UK size, i.e. Size Small was the same as a Nike small for me, although the cut was very slightly different (felt I had more rooms for my arms to move as the sleeves weren't as tight), my brother picked up the US open red one and that was sized the same as UK too.
Having lived in Asia and bought Uniqlo there, its usually +1 size to US/UK so a UK/US Small is an Asia M. This is explained in their size charts too

Agreed, but I think from some of the interviews around the Uniqlo switch and previously, Federer has mentioned he likes the more subtle styles. Frankly, I like this a lot better than the recent nike stuff. I think simplicity can be elegant but I think Uniqlo can still do more than this

That apparel won't win any design awards, but it will appeal to a broad audience that looks for items made of quality materials, with tasteful chosen colours and reasonable prices.

The US Open one my brother got for me as he lives in the US, I bought the Shanghai kit on Uniqlo's UK website - it was there until last week and was on clearance at £14.90! Great value compared to Nike!

Why don't they just remove the Djoker emblem and replace it with RF logo? The new color looks terrible.

fed doesnt have the right to use his logo as its under possession of Nike. I havent heard a word regarding if he is going to buy his logo or any option he has to get it since he's attached to it.

The polo is the same colour as the shorts, so more similar to the UniQlo colour.

IMO 80 for a t shirt and shorts is excessive. I just bought a bunch of Nike dri fit tennis and Adidas clima cool tennis stuff on clearance from a local golf and tennis shop for 13-17 bucks (shirts and shorts).

I know, but $80 for a shirt & shorts is much better than $100 shirt & $75 shorts though...I loved the neon yellow shirt and grey shorts that Fed had for the ‘15 Aussie Open, but that was the price...saw them at Indian Wells and the quality was sub-par at best...turned me off of Nike apparrel from that moment on.

Yeah...Really all that I care about the clothes any more is that the shirts are performance material...the kind that doesn’t stick to me like cheap wallpaper when I sweat...and that the shorts have pockets that are deep enough to hold a ball without it causing a let.

You got nishikori’s uniqlo shirt on uniqlo website for $10.99 and uniqlo shorts for $9.99 a few months ago. Both the shirt and shirt have uniqlo logo on them. Can’t think why anyone would pay $100 for a Nike shirt and $80 for a Nike short.

Or maybe the sponsorship change caused them (because of their brand dictated culture) to look into the brand Federer started endorsing, and suddenly realised that they have been cheated out of their money, which was somewhat obscured by the same brand loyalty while he was at Nike?
However, I think that that is selling many people's intelligence short, as they started to see beyond the marketing, when Nike started to literally rob them of their money (because, let's face it, Nike was approaching with their RF and RN items Lacoste prices), and were actively on the look for other options.
The truth is that Nike is such a market leader, because they have a HUGE customer group that will always buy their products, because they are "American". They have been sleeping on their laurels for at least 15 years in the tennis market, and if they weren't that greedy they could have maintained that illusion for many years/decades to come.
