Can you compare it to Tourbite or tourbite soft which is very popular among NCAA players and widely known ? Does it give you more or less spin ? more or less power ? and also how does it feel ? Tourbite and tourbite soft has pretty solid feel and you do have that decent connection to the ball. Only shortcoming of tourbite and tourbite soft is that when freshly strung, balls sometimes comes off hot off the string bed and control isn't good til it breaks inI tried it, didn't like it, cut it out after one day. A couple of the the guys on the university team like it, but most did not. None of the girls liked it. Not saying that it is good or bad, just saying it wasn't for me.
@Smittithekitty , string it up and make a review video.... Please
Is it really that muted or could part of it be a cushioned feel?It played like a more muted hyper g, and the stringbed was erratic. Some shots felt great and others would fly unexpectedly. Over all, I did not like it.

What string do you use now?I have never played TB soft, but did use TB for a few years up until a few months ago when I switched. My opinion with TB was I felt I had some touch and control. If I needed some spin I had it, If I wanted some pop I had it, if I wanted control I had it. Overall I felt it was a pretty solid string. I have never claimed to be a very good player by the way. I have bad knees and ankles and struggle around the court. I try to stick to doubles and load up on arthritis meds before and a few days after playing.
Confidential I could never even guess where the ball was going to go. It might hit the net, it might hit the fence. When I wanted a little spin it felt the ball was slipping down the string bed and hitting the frame. I felt that I was having to keep adjusting my strokes based on the last ball hit, but it just didn't matter. Try and put a little drop over the net and the ball would go 10 feet in the air. I found myself just bumping the ball instead of taking strokes because of the control issues.
I am kind of curioius why Sloan did switch to this if there is such a huge issue with control ? She obviously have very good control with this new poly and power as well. She won the US open with it and she seem to be using it still even today.I have never played TB soft, but did use TB for a few years up until a few months ago when I switched. The new Black Bear Bear Claw. What string do you use now?
I am assuming that she is a much better player than 99% of us on these boards, and can play well with any string.I am kind of curioius why Sloan did switch to this if there is such a huge issue with control ? She obviously have very good control with this new poly and power as well.

So obviously I have to assume you think Black claw is better string than tourbite in every way ??
also Sloan had a choice to play with any string she wanted including tourbite or Hyper G, but yet she chose that new string from Solinco. I have to wonder why ?
Pro's can get amazing control with any string - they're pro's.I am kind of curioius why Sloan did switch to this if there is such a huge issue with control ? That was a whole lot of nothing. Nice to see something about this string but that review is very premature.
So what ? That's not the point. Pros still want the Premium strings. They don't want to use garbage. They are very intune and sensitive so they are even more picky about strings.Pro's can get amazing control with any string - they're pro's.
