Looks like any H22 users on ATP/WTA tour are still on the Burn PJ. Maybe having to go through the remaining stock or they'll move the H22 users to the Clash Paintjob for marketing...

PCB with the h22 did well at AO if it wasn't for a tough Nishikori comeback.

Unbelievable frame. Super comfortable and has tons of power and spin potential. Also, extraordinarily stable for such a flexy racquet. Mine is around 60 RA if I remember correctly.

I’ve always been amazed Wilson has never released. Much better than the blades. No comparison really.

And yes, mahut uses one, or at least he did last year when I strung for him.

Can you compare it to the RF97 for me? I just got a 16X19 H22.

Hello @asifallasleep
If I can interject its very very similar. The 16x19 H22 is super arm friendly. I found it to have easy power without balls flying off the string bed. I played with 16x19 H22s before the RF97 was released. I found the transition to be seamless. You won't be disappointed!
Thanks Geoff. Are you using the RF97 or the H22 as your main stick now? I have zero complaints about the RF97 and was just curious about the H22.

Hello @asifallasleep, The RF97 has been my main racquet of choice since its release. I'm teaching mostly with the CLASH but when I play competitively, the RF97. If it's good enough for Roger it's good enough for me!

HAHAHAHAH I hear that!! Trying these pro stocks make me realize even more that the RF97 is definitely a pro stock level frame.

Hi guys! I have been using PT57A's for about a year now. Love everything about them except for on serve. I just can't get any pop. I have read that the H22 is very solid for serving but still has great feel. Is there anything that I would lose by using an H22? Would like some feedback, especially from anyone who has used both frames.

Take what I am saying with a grain of salt as I am not a fan of the pt57 (and I have tried a bunch of different variants) but I didn't find any downsides with the H22. Great feel and power.

Only the inability to find replacement grommets for the frame :(

Hi, at the end it is a question of taste to a certain degree here. The 57a, if you like this special feel, is addictive! The H22 has more power (I think at same specs), seems firmer (not rigid) as it flexes differently, but the H22 also has a great, just different, feel. Both really awesome frames. Try both and just decide in a "beauty" contest what works best. True that grommets are much easier for the 57a...

I have both and H19 's. But the feel of my PT57A's are unmatched. Less power then the Wilsons but I make my own power/speed so I dont need that. And it depends on the setup. You have to try it side by side, then you can decide which one you like more and what you miss.

Thanks for the feedback all. I think I would like the flexy throat, yet firmer hoop for H22 on serves. That sounds like just my cup of tea. So tempting to get my hands on some frames and try them, but I'm not yet willing to pull the trigger without availability of grommets.

For serves I prefer the h22... good luck with the grommets.
How easy for wilson to launch the h22 for retail world calling it blade jaja and offer then the grommets too...

Good to know. If the Ultra Tour is basically a H19, I hope to say it's not impossible for Wilson to release the H22. From what I've read, many say the Blade 2015 is most similar to the H22? Still, I do not think Blades flex like a H22. And for me, flex is the whole reason I would buy a pro stock racket.

Joined the H22 club today.
I got the 18 x 20 in a Burn CV PJ.
With strings, the racket weights 320 grams.
Do most people play with it as is, or should I consider adding some weight?
I think 345 grams would be ideal. Where do folks recommend adding weight to the H22?

Normally these are quite headheavy, might be at 33,5cm BP or so. Adding weight, if you prefer, might better in the handle to make it more headlight.
I play mine at this weight, SW is already quite high. Stability very good...

Welcome to the club. I know which ones you bought. Most likely your grommets are already split as well. I had to repair mine with tubing. Would love to find some grommets is anyone has some. I added weight to mine and am now at 331gram wirh overgrip and 6 points headlight. Do you know the swingweight of yours, do you have acces to an RDC machine?

Just strung mine with Poly Tour Pro at 20/19 kgs, would those be good tensions for the h22 or is it too powerfull?

Yes, I got mine from a popular seller on stringforum. The grommets appear intact - how can I tell if they're split? I have to restring mine since it came with a broken string. I don't have access to RDC machine.

Thanks for the tips about adding some weight to the handle.

Personally, I prefer higher tensions (~23.5 kg) to control the power of my H22s. Low tension with a relatively soft poly such as PTP will feel great, but I’m worried about the control aspect. Probably depends on what you’re used to, your stroke technique and your ability to hit the sweet spot every time.

Thx! Played it today and I did like it. But if you, as a low Tension Player, already advise to go up I might try that next time :). Will have to see what string I put in there next.
I have: max power 1.25, pro line 2 1.25, head lynx green 1.20, alu power soft 1.25.

I had too put tubing inside 2 grommets that were split. Tubing seems to work fine though.

Mine feels like it has a hefty swingweight around 345, If I had to guess. Silicon in the Handle, but managed to put a little lead in the Handle anyway. It must be pretty polarized. High Swingweight, low static weight. Never played something like this before. Feels very different from my PT57 and very different from my Angells.

I mostly have to get used to serving and my one Handed backhand. Will see how this develops.

Did you play yours already?

I am really not overwhelmed by this frame yet. I find it very difficult to even play it further. Cant seem to find my strokes with this racket. Strung all 3 different. Max power 21/20, Alu power 22/21, poly tour pro 20/19.

Liking the poly tour pro the most. But seriously not liking this racket at all so far :|.

Getting mine back tomorrow from the stringer - went with ALU power at 52 pounds and a new grip since mine came pretty worn. I'm really looking forward to hitting with it. The thing is I'm used to a 16 x 19 pattern and this is 18 x 20. Also, I think mine came uncustomized and only weighed 320 grams strung, so I'll take a crack at it when I get it and see how it plays. If it's not to my liking I may sell it on the used forum. I have an RF97 and 2015 Blade and really like the RF so this was more a curiosity to see how the Pro Stock is like...will report back after I hit with it.

I was lucky enough to bid on and win Lauren Davis' autographed racquet, supposedly an H22, at the silent auction at the BNPPO. Can't wait to try it out.

Got to do some drills with this racquet today. Very solid, especially with all that lead in the frame. I was cracking 2hbhs. Harder to get racquethead speed on the FH or serve. Need to remove some lead.

You are already selling it?

I guess i will be selling mine too. Cant groove with it. Swingweight is just too much for me

It’s not because I don’t like it. I can certainly remove all of the extra lead and get it to a manageable swingweight. I’m seeing if someone values a player used, autographed racquet before I treat it like a run of the mill H22. I’m actually buying another H22, unmodified.

Had a chance to drill with it last night. Overall, it feels somewhat similar to an RF97 in terms of plow and stability but weights significantly less as it is uncustomized. Launch angle with 18 x 20 pattern wasn't a problem (I'm used to 16 x19) in terms of balls going low. Overall I like it more than the 2015 Blade I have so will keep this one and sell the Blade. Will also keep the RF97 since it's such a great stick w/ more plow and stability than the H22 uncustomized.

In my opinion, playing with a uncustomised H22 is a suboptimal experience. It needs some customisation – because that's what it was made for – to unlock the real strength of this frame. Just avoid creating a swingweight that goes beyond what you can handle. Since the hoop is already solid and the frame most likely has a relatively head-heavy (or rather less head-light) balance, I would mainly add weight to or inside the handle.

Thanks - that makes a lot of sense. The hoop does feel really solid and the frame is more head heavy than the RF. So I will try and add some weight to really unlock the power of this frame.
My Blade 2015 is customized and weighs approximately 345 grams strung, whereas the RF97 weighs closer to 350-360 grams strung. I don't want something as heavy as the RF so was thinking total weight of 340 grams.
Does 5 grams total at 3/9 o'clock and 15 grams at the handle (tungsten putty) sound like a good distribution?

I did beef it up to my spec, but somehow I find the H22 nothing special. Strung it a couple of times to test, but i just dont like it. Will check my swingweight because that might be too high. Nothing I can do about that though, since there is no lead on the frame

Looking at getting either a h22, a h19 or pt57a, all of which go for similar price depending on the PJ. I've built a collection of six one 95s in a handful of pro staff paintjobs, as well as steams in blade PJS but looking for something to diversify my prostock collection. For all you in the club what is your personal experience with it that makes it so desirable?

I would go for the PT57A. That racket had something special to me.

Had to remove 10gm of lead from the 2-3, 9-10 locations to make the swingweight manageable. I let my 12yo son(not high level jr) try it today and I had to use his Ultra 100UL to rally with. He played so much better than he usually does, maybe better than me. Whereas his racquet was a POS to play with. I had to wail on the ball to get any pace/depth. Time to trash the Ultra 100UL. But I don’t think I can let my 12yo use this rather expensive frame. He beats up his racquets.

I added 10 grams of weight to the handle and 5 grams total at 3 and 9 o'clock for a total weight of 335 grams strung. I went out and hit with it today and it felt great - great big power and felt really connected to the ball. I think I'll stick with the current weight for now. I also really like the ALU power. When I switched to the RF97 the string bed felt deader and less powerful but the RF97 still pummeled the ball well (even more than the H22).

I tried using my H22s this past week for the first time for a doubles practice. For some reason during warmup, it felt like the balls were flat(not trajectory but flat dead balls). I examined the balls. They weren't new and maybe a little used but not totally flat like that felt against the stringbed(strung with RS Lyon). Is this what it's supposed to feel like to use a flexible frame?

Yup that's how flexible frame feels. It also depends how your H22s are set up.
To be honest, I grew out and sold my H22s and went back to my pro-stock blades.
To each his own.
