I only get knee pain on hard courts so I sympathise. For this reason I left my acrylic club for an artificial clay venue, all pain gone.

To be fair, I think Fed realised that he had made a huge mistake. We don't know about Nadal's injury, but if we give him the benefit of the doubt and it is something that he could make worse, and that might endanger his season going forward, he made the right call here.
No question that it sucks for the people who were coming to see the match, of course.

As I said before, it's only going to get harder and harder for Nadal. He is not very young anymore. Hopefully he has one more strong clay season, perhaps denying a repeat of Djokovic's 4 consecutive Slams and postponing Thiem's first win if possible.

Me thinks Rafa went to the same doctor, that's why he's been able to last this long. The Spanish doctor who got busted for Cycling scandal also had another fridge with some footballers (Ronaldo) and some other elite Spanish athletes.

I honestly cannot. I'm sorry but people have ended their careers much earlier due to injury. I understand nadal feels bad and is hurt but this narrative that he makes himself out to be the most injured person in the world when he is no.2 and still playing

Yesterday near the end of Nadal/Kha QF a commentator on ESPN mentioned cheapest tickets for todays SF is almost $400. I can only imagine price going up after the match. People must feel cheated.

I’m pretty fit. Especially for my age at 42. But 4 hours of bouncing around on a hard surface takes a toll on me unfortunately. After a days rest I’m usually good to go.
