Finally I might be able to wear this version of vapor X. I’ve never had problems with any shoes except vapor x. Somewhat reason inside shoe inseam is rubbing my bone and and painful so I don’t buy vapor X but I don’t see any inseam line for this version.
It’s strange that those triangles will be stay or fall a part after a few sessions. Looks like it’s glued together.....

Hoping those triangles last. The upper on the cage 3 is super weak. The vapors are pretty durable for toe daggers.

Hey guys i'm working on an initial review of these shoes. I have a steady rotation of Vapor 9.5's, Vapor X, and Cage 3's that I currently rotate through weekly that I will be able to compare these to. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask.

How about the fit? With the Vapor 9.5 and Flyknit, the general consensus was that one should -0.5 a size for the Flyknit. How about the Vapor X and the "X Knit"?

For me:
Vapor 9.5 = Vapor X = Cage 3 = Flyknit (9.5) **-0.5**

I made the mistake of getting the Flyknit in the same size as all others, and eventually regretted it a bit, even if it was barely noticeable.

So I just picked these up from my local tennis store, the new Nike Air Zoom Vapor X Knit!!! Has anyone else picked these up yet?

That is the best vapor colourway in years. Looking forward to reading about your impressions of the knit component of the shoe.

The gradient knit looks like a thicker, softer version of the Nike free distance Upper from a previous generation.

Was Shapovalov trialling this shoe earlier in the year or was it another shoe in a similar colourway?

I started my Nike boycott of tennis shoes three years ago. I purchased two versions of their Fly Knit Zooms and the tongue constantly and consistently slid over to the side. It was irritating and painful because the knot in my shoelaces stayed centered and would then rub against my sock. Even with high quality and thick socks it eventually caused rubbing and burning on my skin.

I contacted Nike and they said it wasn’t a defect with the shoe, it was just a shoe that didn’t fit my foot. Which was funny because they were a very popular shoe and everyone that I saw play with them, including my son, had the same issue.

Most weren’t bothered by it, but I couldn’t stand it and eventually led me to only want to play in booty type shoes...leading to my love affair with the Ubersonic 2.

Anyway...I had a gift card to my local golf course I had to use up. My pro has a Nike account so he agreed to order me some tennis shoes. So, I ordered up some Zoom Vapor X’s and am hoping the tongue issue no longer exists.

The official name of the shoe is Nike Air Zoom Vapor X Knit. So here's my initial review of the shoe, but as you all know this is completely subjective, but in my honest opinion these are the best Tennis shoes I've have ever owned! To start, I get all my tennis shoe's true to size, size 9 and always double sock. With these shoes when I initially tried them on I was a bit concerned because they felt a little tight in the forefoot. I would say I have a little bit of a wider foot than normal, but do not be concerned this does not cause problems, it seems that the flykit stretches a bit, or this is how a true lockdown should feel. The shoe I believe uses the Nike Air Zoom Zero one piece tongue, heel boot/sleeve that you side your foot into separate from the shoe. You then add that with the flykit that wraps around the shoe, and it creates a lockdown I have never felt before and in my opinion the best. My feet in no way were sliding in any direction within the shoe and caused no foot pain. I could sprint, slide, and move laterally, with my foot being completely locked down. I usually have problems with stubbing toes, but not with this shoe. The only down side I could see is the breathability. The Flyknit is thick and with the two piece construction with the sleeve insert, I could see breathability being an issue. The tread pattern of the sole and Nike Zoom is exactly the same as the Vapor X, so expect normal wear. The look of the shoe is awesome IMO. Comparing the different Nike shoe's I listed above, I would say it fits more along the lines of a Cage 3/Zoom Zero, but still has the play feel/ride of a Vapor X. As I stated above, I believe Nike really nailed it with this shoe and is definitely worth the $30 more than regular Vapor X.

A bit off-topic... My only complains for Nike in the last 4-5 years:
-Vapor 9.5: The tongue (maybe on only a few colorways?) very near to the foot would easily fold/curl. It didn't physically bother me.
-Vapor X: The laces are just a tad too short.

Well they thought those Dots on Adidas sole court boost in the front would all fall off but mine still there all of them after 3 month. so they must have some kind of fusion tech to put these on. they don't seem to fall off

That’s good to know.
I saw back of shoes and wow.... I don’t like Nike put huge letters “vapor x”.

I think it's more about "not offered" (yet?) than being "sold out". Nike Canada came out of the gate exactly the same, and they actually opened there yesterday.
Could be the case, too.

I never liked the inward slant of the Vapor X... not sure why I want to give the new Knits a chance other than hoping the upper is more comfy and the little claws don't dig into my arch as much.

Exactly I had this problem too. Don't really understand it, it was really bad for my foot, especially since i've got a weak arch. It was almost as if my ankles were on an unnatural allignment all the time.

A lot of sizes are sold out on Nike.
Hey, have you tried custom insoles? I dont know about you but i've got pretty weak arches and when I'm just walking around normally and my feet are close together my ankle allignment is off, it's kinda as if my feet cave inwards and the outer foot caves out. Would you happen to combat know anything to combat or make the shoes better? I really want to like the shoes. As a sneakerhead I love these shoes, they really are the best and cleanest looking shoe imo. But in terms of support asics gel and ff technology is miles more supportive. But I do like the speed of these which is probably abit more what I like in a shoe

Nope. And don't intend on buying insoles for shoes. My feet aren't that picky... yet.

Cool man, do your feet ever cave inwards when you wear them? Also how do you find the comfort? Imo I never found the normal ones that comfortable, they were okay but overhyped imo, just felt the angle was awkward and the 9.5s were more comfortable and absorbed more shock. I did like the breathability though

On the Vapor X, my feet did and I didn't enjoy that feeling while standing. It didn't seem to hinder play - but I didn't keep the shoes either because of it. Vapors outsoles feel not cushioned and very thin compared to the 9.5s. I can feel everything on the uppers - which I didn't like, either. The stitching or something on the inside just rubbed me the wrong way. I have a pair of the Vapor X Knits coming to try on. Fingers crossed they'll be better.

Has anyone not read this earlier post? "Comparing the different Nike shoe's I listed above, I would say it fits more along the lines of a Cage 3/Zoom Zero, but still has the play feel/ride of a Vapor X." I do not have a Zoom Zero, but just purchased a pair of X Knit that should arrive mid next week. I will compare, as the other person did, against a regular X and a C3.

The two posts before yours - or at least mine in particular - were referencing the strange ,off camber inwards slant that the 'normal' V10 is afflicted with; I don't believe the post you quoted mentions this. While my custom orthotics - with a rigid arch support - somewhat mitigate this unfortunate design aspect, IMO V10 users would want to be wary of knee issues caused by the inherent misalignment this shoe promotes.
