That's what I get with my PP100 too. I think the TT100 310 is really extremely similar!!!Biggest difference is launch angle, with the ball coming off at a much higher trajectory on the 16x18 Tour 310.

Yes, same feeling. Now, I have 2 of the 290g version and 1 by 310g. I matched the light version with Tourna Pro gel and silicon and blue tack nearly to the 310g specs. How many of you have tried the lighter (290g) version? Is it feeling the same as with the "standard" one? I'm thinking about getting the lighter model and adding about 10-15 grams.

The coaches are presumably sponsored by Dunlop.
At least Dunlop are sponsoring coaches xD
Looks to be using the 16×18 full poly.Iga Swiatek is doing very well in French Open. The only Prince flag bearer left in Singles?

That's the biggest oversight on TT line is no 8 in the main string pattern. The 100p isn't that tight in the center, either.[emoji17]
Maybe swap in a poly cross to promote snapback for the 310? (Get ready to restring alot)
For the 100p, maybe a full poly at around 46 might be the thing.
This is an all around marvelous stick that just hasn't had the right string pattern applied yet.

Whats your tension for gut/poly in Tour 100(310)?
50/53 with gut mains

I have not played this stick with a full bed of gut. I prefer the open pattern of the TT100 (310). My guess is that you would gain a bit of feel and lose some spin.I love my 2015 TT100Ps. Been playing them since they first came out. I’ve added weight in the throat and play it with VS/RPM @ 53/50# respectively with gut in the mains.
Question: has anyone tried a full bed of gut? I’m tempted to thread one all gut at 55#.
Thoughts?
I'm in the same boat. I use the Beast at the moment which I love (although the paint could be better - it chips easily) and I'm probably the only Prince user of over 1000 members apart from a small number of older guys with o3 Reds etcI am practically the lone Prince guy at nearly everywhere I play. Apart from a senior or two that wields the o3 silver or o3 white I don't see prince's. But I like being the oddball out of the bunch. When I hit a good shot with my phantom 100p it's like sending a message across - it's the man that makes the weapon.
I spotted someone with the Dunlop cx200 2 weeks ago. First Dunlop I've seen since their return.
Same...I get people saying how Prince were their favourite rackets when they were a kid...I also get a few asking where I purchased it, indicating that they are not well advertised or readily available in Australia.I'm in the same boat. I just put a leather TW grip on my textreme tour 100P. Now it looks like a serious racquet and has no squish in hand. Added 4 grams of lead at high noon, to give me a bit more control on touch shots.
Plan to string with multifilament at 54 lbs.
Coincidence! I just put a TW thin grip on my Phantom Pro 100. Color is a little light for my taste, but feels great!
It actually only added a few grams, so I’m thinking of putting one on my TT 100 (310). I held off so far because I didn’t want it to get too heavy. Most of my racquets end up at about 12.5 oz, and I’m liking the newfound RHS I’m getting with 11.8oz (338g) or so. I can finally get that lag/snap in my forehand!
I’ll report back if I change up my grip.

yeah, I know about that weight-creep stuff.
Usually a leather grip adds about .5 oz to my racquet. I’ve bought a few demos in 4 3/8” size and had to size up the grips to 5/8”, so that’s even more weight.
I liked the plow, but I’m trying to hit more spin/less flat now, so I’m toying with lighter weights. I like the feel of leather too, but in the summer it gets too slippery to use without an overgrip. The TW thin is quite a bit lighter, and has the added advantage that it brings the grip size down a little, so if I’m starting with a 4 5/8”, it becomes more like a 4 9/16”, and the thin overgrip brings it back to 4 5/8”.

I'm with you there. I went with the Prince to go down in weight. Played for the first time with it last night in all the stuff I put in it. The leather was okay---and necessary for me: I bought 4.5 grip but usually use 4 5/8; the Prince grip is square and I'm used to the Volkl oblong grip; very different shape and smaller, so the leather brings it up and helps fill the hand more. I quickly dumped the lead tape I put in the head. It's now a different feel with the leather, but that 's okay; should get used to it.
I strung it with poly/syn gut at 54. Too hard on my arm; hopefully it softens up. Perhaps next I'll go multifilament, but I'm leery of adding any extra power to this frame---it's got plenty.
what do you have wrapped around the edge of the racquet? This was one racquet I bought as a “used” demo, sized 3/8” and pre-stung with Prince Premier Control 16 in the low/mid 50’s (a multi). If it wasn’t such a good deal I never would have gone for it, but I got it on the court and really really liked it! (Relatively) stiff, light, and a full bed of multi, I was able to generate enough spin that I could hit out and still pull the ball right inside the baseline. It felt like the strings were coated with tar, just grabbed the ball! Even as a poly guy, I would recommend trying this string, maybe with a smooth poly cross to keep the string bed aligned.
As for the grip, I like a more oblong grip too, so one advantage of a smaller grip for me is that I can build up the top & bottom bevels with balsa wood and leave the long bevels as is, giving me a better shape than if I bought a 5/8” at full price.
Here’s what the stringbed looks like after a couple forehands

ahh... thanks... yes "not the prettiest" is an understatement.. haha... cool.. I totally get it...Oh, that’s Gorilla tape, which is just beefier duct tape really. I had been using gaffer’s tape, which is the same weight as the “head” brand tape I had been using, but cheaper and less gummy. gorilla tape is heavier (3.5g vs 2g) but seems to be holding up better to scrapes. I chop hard at a lot of low balls, so my bumper gets beat up pretty quick.
It’s usually in a 3” wide roll, but I got a small 1” wide or so roll a while ago packaged with some glue, so I just split it down the middle, and it allows access to the strings if one breaks, and also gives better coverage around the edge of my racquet.
Not the prettiest, but if decide to keep using it, I’ll probably do a better install next time, as I think it will last a lot longer than the alternatives.

how do you like your Tour 310?
This is my quandry: I know the better frame is on the left, but the superior string pattern is on the right.
The 100p isnt any help since its still super open in the middle!!!

Is that a Head 360 Speed Pro on the right? How does it play compared to the TT 310?This is my quandry: I know the better frame is on the left, but the superior string pattern is on the right.

The tour is more solid feeling, but the 360 Pro has so much control off the string bed that I end up using it more. [emoji53]Is that a Head 360 Speed Pro on the right? How does it play compared to the TT 310?

Is the 360 Pro not as comfortable as the Tour? I was thinking about demo'ing the 360 Pro to see if I can get more control off of the dense string pattern (plus I already have the matching bag ), but since it did not seem to score high on its comfort level (I have a sensitive arm), I bought a DR 98 instead to see if it adds any control from my TT 310. The TT 310 (16x18) does feel very stable and comfortable, but I feel like once the string tension starts to go down, it becomes slightly difficult to control. I kind of regret not getting the 18x20 version instead. The tour is more solid feeling, but the 360 Pro has so much control off the string bed that I end up using it more. [emoji53]

The 360 pro is comfortable for me just doesn't quite have that satisfying "thump" on the ball like the tours. I'm still dialing in these frames spec wise. Realized I had made the pro too HL, and also that my tour doesn't need any lead in the hoop.Is the 360 Pro not as comfortable as the Tour? Are you using 100 (310) 2019, 100p 2019 or 100p 2015?Wow. Almost a sexual experience hitting balls last night. Switching to multi (Prince Premier 16g) makes it so much better for me. I'm not missing spin, either. It seems more controlled, too, with multi for some reason.
I'm not a spin-player who puts massive spin on the ball, ala Nadal. BUT I do make it a point to put some kind of spin on my groundstrokes and serve. The multi works superb!
I strung it with my Kmate dropweight at 54 lbs. I suppose I could take it down two pounds, but let's see how the multi settles in.
Yeah if this thing was a babolat or wilson racquet with a bunch of hype it would be selling like crazy.. prince really does make great sticks...I have been using the 310 for 2 months now. I’m selling my pure drives. Thai thing is better in every way. Did I mention IN EVERY WAY ?
Wonder if the 290 version plays close. Many reviews on 310 but lacking on the 290.I want to add that I bought this frame in both the size 3 and size 4 because they do run a little bit small. The grip shape on these rackets is for me sublime. Just perfect.
If I HD to make a custom mold this shape would be it. my serves with the size 4 are a little bit heavier than with the 3/8. And I can cannon my serves in with this stick even better than the pure drive which was the pure drives best attribute. This Stick blows away the beasts and phantoms. Blows away any other line from any other manufacturer. You guys simply have to try not for yourselves.
Don’t bother with it the 310 is perfection just do some pushups lol.Wonder if the 290 version plays close. Many reviews on 310 but lacking on the 290.

Today I will try the O3 Tour 100 (290).Wonder if the 290 version plays close. Many reviews on 310 but lacking on the 290.
Beam thickness and designWhat's difference between 310 and P100 - only string pattern ?
I think he means to ask 100p... if its phantom he is asking then yeah they are completely different sticks except for the string patternBeam thickness and design
String spacing. Pattern is still 16x18.
