Talk Tennis Guru
So, I am soon to be a first time father, and even though I am not ready and clearly panicking, I am excited on many levels.
However, I am a sports guru and want my son (or daughter) to be competitive at a sport. No, I will not be like Agassi or Tomic dads, but I will try to put them in the best situation to be successful at it. In theory I will push them towards tennis (they still will play other sports), and if they are passionate about tennis I want them to go all in with it. As someone who played serious hockey and went to Cornell, I know the importance of scholarships as well (even if they dont make it to the tour).
Now, with all of this said, I am not going to lie, I have a dream, a dream that my kid will one day win many many slams and become the next Fed. My question is, what age do most people start their child down this road, and how do they go about it. I am talking about the first 8 or so years?
By the way, whether it is a girl or boy, I am naming the little one Indiana (Indy) for short. Okay, well I have to get the wifes approval first, she is currently saying it is a hard no, but I have time.
