Is he doing Monte Carlo or not?
Seems like he will be there to get his ass handed to him once again... Sad to see him become less than a shell of his former self. I wonder what disagreements led to Agassi saying sayonara... Novak needs to skip the clay, get back in with Becker, and shoot for the 2nd half of the year starting with grass. Otherwise, the hole he's in will get deeper and deeper.

Needs to hit the hills in Blacksburg on the bike, build up those legs again.

Why is he spending his family time being trailed by a social media person with a camera

Is this the Karadashians

Its the new Constant Selfie™ App…a drone follows you everywhere and takes videos and pics, automatically uploading them to all social media accounts automatically.

I find it sad that an all time great who has overcome various mental barriers to achieve his current status has to now succumb to the very thing he has conquered. Let's face it, he clearly has issues, and I genuinely hope above all that he sorts out what's inside him; anything other than that including his game is just a bonus.

Looks like that.

Stefan brought luck . The second one brought disaster

The word disaster doesn't enter into this whole situation. Novak's won 12 slams and is worth a gazillion dollars. Maybe he simply decided to put his family and other interests as the priorities after achieving so much in the sport?

Whatever happens and as long as he has his health, it's all good for him.

Never have I seen a player in any sport, let alone tennis, turn around his career so completely and so quickly.

Legend never dies.

And some fans were really nice to Novak back then, they were concerned for his soul & mental state, not thinking it might be all those media and fan attack that made him think that it is enough.
Now they want to strangle him again.

I know it's April 1 but I'm watching tennis today and looking at Novak's schedule I think he might announce the end in New York this year. I mean sure there's clay but no indication that goes well at all.

Sure Australia is where he won half his Slams but short of true contention retiring at the Slam he made 7 Finals wouldn't be strange in the least.

I know I called for Nadal to retire in 2016 but Novak is older and worse than Rafa then.

Embarrassing from Djokovic during that clay season , 4 chances to meet him before RG and it’s only able to do it once , Meanwhile 2015-16 Nadal faced him 7 times proudly , 3 in 2016 and he didn’t even finished the year
They met four times since this thread was originally posted. Half of them in clay when clay is only about 1/3 of the season, probably less. So if anything clay was over represented in their matches.

The Big 3 met this week and decided to play on until they're 60.

"Coz NextGen is so crap, that's why", said RF, speaking on their behalf.

Fed has made the the absolute most of his looks through every available means, including $900 haircuts, facials, and cosmetic enhancements. Nadal has as well, with his hair transplant and God knows what else. But if you look at them both as teens, neither were particularly attractive, IMO:

But now both have become completely made over and are attractive men. Neither are my type, but both would turn heads wherever they went even if they weren't famous. The main reason is because both have world class bodies and are extremely fit. That alone makes them desirable: they are fit.

Nadal's photo here is squashed, which makes the head rounder.

As for RF, he looks like Quentin Tarantino, who is not exactly known for being a stud.

Embarrassing for Djokovic?

Meetings at RG = 7
Meetings at the other three slams combined = 8

I wish people would stop bumping these kinds of threads. It's easy to laugh at something someone said a year ago because hindsight is always 20/20. Bump the threads that turned out to be correct. That's a better challenge.

During that clay season.Nadal at his worst reached him 7 times which caused him to lose the h2h advantage. Djokovic at his worst only reached twice , Djokovic had 3 chances to reach Rafa before RG and he only had to win like 2 matches in a row , He was only able to reach him at Rome.

If Djokovic wanted more matches against Nadal outside RG , He only had to defend the AO like Nadal defends RG , Nadal reached the final of the AO 3 times when Novak was the defending champion

Like meeting him seven times at RG already there on clay isn't enough, meeting him during his peak on clay multiple times in 2007, 2008 and 2009 isn't enough.

Remind me where Nadal was on grass between 2011 and 2018? Djokovic has out performed Nadal at W every single year since 2011.

Keep in mind Nadal, just like Federer got a lot of wins against a Djokovic who wasn't the monster that he would go on to become from 2011 onward.

Nadal may deliver a crushing defeat to DJOKOVIC in USO19 for project #19
