There will be a machine out soon, like head/gosen/ prince diagnostic machine from a ... brand.
The fun part= the machine will measure the balance point for you. It means zero parallax error. ok bye.

IIRC, Head, Prince, Gamma, Gosen and Babolat had/have such machines available. I think thay mainly came from the same factory. Since you say this is a 'new' brand, could be Wilson (doubt), Dunlop/Srixon, Volkl (doubt) or Pro Kennex (doubt). I think Dunlop also had such a machine, but was never marketed in the US.

BTW, shouldn't this be in Other Equipment or Odds And Ends Forum?

Whatever, the thing will cost over $$$$$$ so who is going to buy it in quantities that make marketing sense? Make the gadget for 300.00 USD or less and many would buy one if it is reasonably accurate and durable. It ain't like tennis is growing by leaps and bounds.

Yonex Precision Scan?

There are rumors about the leaks being the Yonex Precision Scan in post number 10.
I want to clarify that post #10 is not a rumor.

Yonex Precision Scan?

I heard about the Precision Scan earlier this year but it completely slipped by mind. I guess it didn’t come to mind because the Precision Scan isn’t exactly a secret. I heard about it when Yonex announced it as part of a 2020 Australian Open press release.

Will the precision scan swingweight number be different from the PTC swingweight number? The way it’s described isn’t crystal-clear.

Could be, I don’t know. It was expensive (too expensive) and looked like it came from the same factory as the other brands’ swingweight machines.
Nope. I can promise you that. Just wait until sept my friend.

I was referring to the Dunlop machine, when you refer to September are you referring to the precision scan?
If you have seen the Xpider Linus, how do you consider the yonex precision scan to be against it, and will they be priced similarly?

1) Yonex prescision scan is a totally different toy from the dunlop sw machine.
2) Yonex precision scan places alot of emphasis on speed of collecting data.

based on your comment, i went to take a look at xpider linus. I find it very impressive, esp with the balance board. However, yonex precision scan is able to offer more details about the racquet VERY QUICKLY, both tennis/badmintion. I heard from my spy vaguely about 2 kinds of sw readings. I am pretty clueless about that as well.
I am also waiting for Yonex to release more in depth details.

There is a YT video on the Linus which is about 3mins 40 sec long. I think the precision scan 's video , if there is one, would be a 1min 40 secs long video. Perhaps explaining the 2 different sw reading part in detail. I am pretty clueless about that.

It will be interesting to see how they are priced.

yup. in short, "Pendulum cycle of conventionalSW is far from actual swing move " = MGR/I is a joke
Will be tough to compare though when shopping for new racquets unless everyone adopts. Fine for matching your own racquet I suppose. But also, doesn’t everyone have different strokes - or is it based on what they believe to be optimal stroke?
