Calling all users of the luscious Head Gravity pro! Feel free to add your experience trying, using, making sweet, beautiful, backhands down the line with this racquet. My personal setup is Touch VS mains at 51-53 and BBO at 47. Spin is good, power is good and control is great. And last but not least, that paintjob :love:.

Edit: Forgot to mention I use a Head leather grip as my only customization, the racquet plays amazing stock.

Truly an exceptional racquet. Top control with an 18x20 string pattern but a drill pattern that opens that pattern up a bit so good topspin is easily generated and the mass in the hoop takes care of the slice. The feel strikes an excellent balance between crispness and plushness and I never feel I've lost the ball in the strings. I've played mostly with heavy racquets so I haven't had any problem swinging the Pro and, honestly, I don't consider it a particularly heavy racquet though others do. It volleys with accuracy and stability and serves equally well with flat 1st serves or kick 2nd serves.

I play with a full bed of Völkl Cyclone 17g at 48 lbs.

I grew up playing with the pro tour 280 and prestige line of racquets but they are super demanding now and I wanted something with a similar feeling to prestige racquets but in a more user-friendly setup. I have used a lot of racquets (head prestiges, babolat aeropro, yonex, wilson ultra tour and rf97, etc.) and would say this is one I will be sticking with for a while.

My specs with oehms leather grip, 9 grams of silicone in the buttcap and yonex supergrap are 341.5g static, 7 points headlight, 337 swingweight. Mine are 1/4 grip size also. Strings are Yonex Poly Tour Pro 17 @ 49 pounds.

I’m in. My primary racquet is the new Prestige MP, but this thing is a close #2 and it hits a mean ball. I play it with Klip mains at 52, Black Zone crosses at 50 and four grams of lead at the 3&9.

How does cyclone play? I am wondering if I should try it, just to see what the hype is about.

I forgot to add in my OP but I use a leather grip with an overgrip and that’s it. Plays phenomenal.

I’ve wondered how the thicker beam feels on volleys and serves, and also how it is only 1 point softer lol.

I find it somewhat similar to Solinco's Hyper-G, at least in terms of power and spin. The feel is a bit different with Hyper-G being just a touch stiffer. Both are lower powered polys but still can offer plenty of pace with a full swing and good timing. I would recommend stringing polys like these at the lower range, esp. if you are using a stiff racquet or a light one.

Oops--I forgot to add that I play with Völkl's V-Dry grip, an excellent, cushioned grip that handles moisture quite well and has a pleasant, non-plastic feel.

Awesome racquet with great blend of feel, control, spin and power. I play stock and I’m lucky enough to live by a major etailer so I was able to have them weigh a few to get two on spec... 342g and 343g with overgrip and dampener, 7pts HL. Currently using Lux 4G rough at 46lbs. Tempted to try a leather grip as I like HL racquets, but I usually don’t have too many issues getting it around (just take a shorter swing when I need to) but I do tire somewhat in a long match. However, that’s not always a bad thing since the plow through on this thing allows me to just let the racquet swing and I still get good everything. I like the static weight where it is so I’m a little hesitant about leather and an overgrip being a bit too much.

A 10/10 racket hampered by my skill level. Patience, preparation and timing is rewarded. Still enough in the racket that off days are not completely punished.

One comment not often mentioned. The paint durability is unreal good, 2-3 scuffs after 9 months of use on hard court and that is on the side near the bumper, the face is completely unmarked, like a new racket, My previous Yonex and Wilson would have been roughed up by now. Massively impressed with the paint.

Was just chatting with you in the other thread about leather grip and tail weighing... considering that you have 9 grams of silicone I’m surprised you’re at 341.5g!

I thought I had a “lighter than spec” Gravity Pro. Found that my Head Leather was only 3g heavier than the stock grip so I added 4g of lead tape before I put the leather on.

So Head Leather Grip + 4g of lead on handle + dampener = 342g

So far, liking it!

I sometimes feel this racquet is a spin racquet lol, even with the 18/20. I use a low tension but it still feels like a spin racquet. I use 16g on both strings and it feels pretty darn good.

Hit for an hour on the ball machine after playtesting the Babolat PA VS 2020 the past 3 weeks. Had some tendonitis in my wrist bothering me the past 2 weeks and found the PA VS 2020 easier to hit. It made playing with the GP frustrating because it throws timing anticipating pain and limitsed how tight I can grip. Today with no pain, the VS 2020 was blah. Hitting back to back the lack of plow through was noticeable.

I've had the Head sensor about two months. Surprised it doesn't have more of a following. Impressive so far...I wish they sold separate chargers. Been remembering to charge, have only been caught with it dead twice. The battery seems to last somewhere between 6-8 hours. I carry a battery backup and have charged on the way to the court when I realized the battery was dead.

Currently playing Alu Power 16/PHT 17 44lbs with rubber band dampener. Tried a full bed of 17g string and didnt like it. Strings I've tried include hybrids of NRG2, Genesis Black Magic, Alu Power (all 16g) and Head Lynx 17g[emoji1475]. I prefer a stiffer poly in the mains, although I liked the feel from Black Magic in the mains, haven't found a decent cross for it. 16g string works best for me. Still exploring strings. Hyper G and VS Gut are on the try list.

I liked the stock Hydrosorb Pro grip. It wore out one one frame after a year. I replaced with the Head Ultimate. Feels close to leather but I prefer the Hydrosrob Pro. I have to hit the rosin bag every game. Planning to try thin Wilson overgrip. Have Technifibre ATP headtape on its gotta be at least 2g.

I like the color scheme on the yet to be released updated Gravity but I'll be buying at least two of the original when the update drops.

I picked up one of these a few weeks ago and a second this week. I've had arm issues this year and this seemed like a good frame to play with to try and cure this (along with a regimen with a flexbar etc). I'm finding that multis aren't lasting long though, so picked up a second one this week.

The first racket has been strung with a succession of multis, all around the 50lb mark. Currently it's strung with biphase and I'm quite enjoying it. Velocity only lasted a couple of hours for me so I might save the other set of that which I have for a hybrid when my arm improves.

I've put on a babolat leather grip on each racket and play with a yonex supergrap overgrip. Weight is 338g for the original and the new one is at 339g, strung with RPM Blast (it came pre-strung from the shop and that was the only option that they offered that I wanted to try. I figured I would hit with it and see if it annoyed my arm and cut it out if it did).

Agreed on the spin. How often do you break strings? 17G works really well with 18M racquets IME. Give it a try and you might find just that extra bit of spin too and string durability should still be solid.

I haven’t had any big chinks in my gut yet, so it hasn’t come close to breaking. However if I was using poly, it wouldn’t break that often. The gut in this racquet I expect will last a slight bit shorter than my blade 18/20 because the string spacing on the blade is smaller.

I recently switched to the Gravity Pro. Among many things, I love the two color paintwork - my rather whimsical act is I play with the face of the racket denoting the mood during the game - blue when playing within myself, and red - when I hit a zone.

I personally love playing with the blue facing towards the court, just feels right. I generally like playing with Head racquets with the model line facing me, but with Wilson I have the logo facing me. Like the side that says gravity I hit with that facing me, but on my blade if I look down I see the green Wilson text.

I use a Zepp sensor when I play (I only use Head Rackets). Here is my GPro session Vs my previous racket Head Touch Speed Pro. The stats agree with the bigger sweet spot claim of Head on the Gravity. It’s consistent with a few playing sessions.

Couldn't help but notice the inverted similarities. I hit flat. Almost makes me wanna change the racquet model to see if I get the same numbers.

Looks like an algorithm with a programmed allowable variance. [emoji848]

I love the Head sensor... easy to switch between racquets and I use as a reference to confirm how I felt I hit on a particular day etc. Not sure how accurate these things are but it is fun to look at.

Really curious about switching to this without demoing (COVID, lack of opportunities to go down to the tennis store). Specs on paper are close enough to my Phantom 100 (SW, beam width, head shape; not concerned about string pattern).

How's the power compared to racquets with similar RA or slightly higher (around 65)?

Assuming it's on spec or near it, how's the maneuverability?

i blindly bought a pair after trying the MP because i found the MP to be solid for its weight but had some vibration issues. what kind of sticks are you looking to compare it to? i demoed the first gen phantom 100P and found it to be a bit unstable and currently swinging a vcore 98, but finding it to be a little jarring and causing some elbow tenderness.

I have one so I'm in. Had some lead on 3 & 9 but took it off as lost the head lighty-ness. Currently trying Luxilon Smart in it but will try the new Triax when I get bored and cut it out. But can't decide if it is to become my No1 stick as my DR is still the one to beat. At least it's always in my bag whereas other frames I chop & change in & out as I am an unapologetic racquet-a-holic.

I just ordered 2 matched, I am currently playing with a babolat but lately gave me wrist and elbow pain, so I decided to test the Gravity Pro again. Last year I tested but found it very sluggish probably due to the demo I got was off spec and pretty heavy and wrong balance. The one I got is strung with Hyper G , loved it, played great tennis, even my hitting partner told me the ball was heavier than with the babolat. True that you have to be on time and good prep, but if you are you can crush the ball. I used to play competitive back in the day and used oversize racquets ( donnay pro one ltd) this felt right at home. Great stick.

I ordered and am playing with three matched. I think they were 314 unstrung or 317. Cannot remember but I have specs somewhere. Anyway, I like them and am committed to them. Leather and no lead. First frame I have not put lead on in forever. If the c10 pro had this grip shape and was a little lighter overall, it would be my choice. This frame holds it’s own and I am playing little better. I serve and volley a lot.

I demoed the gpro from TW, it’s pretty sweet, stable, maneuverable enough for me.

Yeah, also looking at this racket. i am worried it might be a tad underpowered for me. Either this or the Clash 98, I know that is quite different, but 98 is meant to be easier to play with obviously.

A few other racquets to consider...between the two you mentioned. I didn't find the Gravity Pro Underpowered, but each player has a different feel of racquets.

I have the Clash Tour in my bag as well as the Gravity Tour.

Both are great (for my play) and I really enjoy both - when it comes to power, I'd give the Clash the advantage. Easier for me to generate quick points, the Gravity takes more time to set the game up.

I got all three and the DR def has more power. But I also find it generates more spin and I really prefer the HL balance.
I couldn’t gel with the Pro on my serve and the Tour is a great “lighter” version of the Pro.
All great racquets.
I played with the Tour for a few months but keep going back to the DR or VCP HD.

It's hard to find a racquet like the DR 98 with a little more or equal power, but just a tad stiffer.

The DR feels stiffer then both the Tour and the Pro. But it’s string bed feels more consistent, especially compared to the Tours.

Totally depends on what you see looking for but they don’t feel soft, especially the Pro because of the weight.

Pro blasts heavier serves, if your shoulder is fine with additional weight.
And it also makes the volley easier than Tour

That's right!
The stiffness rating of two different racquets can be similar on paper but could feel totally different when you actually play with the racquets.

I believe in this case, it's not so much the stiffness, but rather a higher static weight and higher SW for Pro.
add here the thinner beam.

if you can handle the higher static weight and SW, you get quite a different output.

It has taken a lot of time but I am finally starting to gel with this frame. I am used to more headlight and heavy so the balance and swing weight felt sluggish to me. I know, I mean I am used to like 11 12 pts headlight. Anyway, I got three matched and by my measurement, they have around 336 swing weight. The wider head still feels a little clumsy to me (a serve and volleyer most of the time), but I have played a couple of matches where it started to feel like home. I have had them for about two months I guess. Was really frustrated with my serve but I think again that was a balance issue. I did add a thin leather grip to them and 9 grams of bluetak in the buttcap. I can play without it but last night, I really felt like the stick was moving through the air with a little more ease. One hand backhand is working now as well though I m slicing a lot of balls at the bottom of the net. That is a shot that is usually second nature to me. Last night I sliced all returns, forhand, and backhand, during a match to make myself commit to this stroke. By the end of the match, much better. Of course, if the C10 pro had this shaped handle, I would probably never have even tried this frame. I am glad I did. Great frame with more power than peeps here give it credit for. Love it. I use a rubber band but with my head velocity set up...don't really need it. Will try some isospeed cream at 17 gauge to see how that plays.
