So Here are the 8 players confirmed to play at Wtf
1. Djokovic
2. Nadal
3. Thiem
4. Medvedev
5. Zverev
6. Tsitsipas
7. Rublev
8. Schwartzman
So assuming what could be tougher group that could be possible for Djokovic/Nadal
For Djokovic in Thiem/Medvedev it could be said Thiem is far bigger challenge and even for nadal.
Zverev/Tsitsipas here I feel djokovic and nadal will prefer Tsitsipas and in Rublev/Schwartzman it's obvious rublev is far tougher currently.

But catch is drawing easier opponents in group could enable you to reach semis but could make sf/f extremely tough.
So me as a Nadal Fan wishes for this group Medvedev/Zverev/Schwartzman for Rafa

If Draws are rigged then I feel these are the groups that will be made
Djokovic/Nadal Thiem Zverev Schwartzman
Djokovic/Nadal Medvedev Tsitsipas Rublev
These 2 look most balanced I feel

Well as Tsitsipas/Medvedev/Zverev have 5-1 h2h record between the 3 in that way zverev would be happy he could only draw Tsitsipas who he has a 5-1 advantage whereas for Medvedev he would want Tsitsipas but could get Zverev as well

Both groups will be roughly equal, finally a fair division. Doesn't always happen.

I disagree that Rublev is tougher than the Schwarz. Rublev has a rather weak H2H vs top 10 players, the weakest in the field.

Disagree about Thiem/Medvedev. Thiem hasn't been peak form in recent weeks whereas the Bear finally went back to winning ways.

Nadal would love Thiem (he is kind of injured and not playing well after his title in NY), Tsitsipas and Schwartzmann in his group.
Rublev isn't that great either, but he's obviously better on this surface than the Argentine.
But, if he has to play against the German again in his group, what will Nadal do differently this time to counter him?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Stefanos withdraw from the tournament. I think he shouldn't play. He is injured and he won last year, he will do worse this year that is almost certain. I hope he calls it a season and focus on rest and preparation for the AO.

That's a joke since it's not possible but nadal surely can qualify for semis if last year he won 2 out of 3 with a tough draw , zverev, Tsitsipas, Medvedev atleast this year he could get Schwartzman which he will beat imo here so surely he can qualify but him losing here isn't a shock by any means

Best case and worst case groups for Rafa/Novak

Best possible- Thiem/Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Schwartzman
Worst possible- Thiem/Medvedev, Zverev, Rublev
thiem/meddy I am unable to think of one being less or more tougher as game wise thiem could ve easier but nadal has been having an edge in matchup with meddy although last 2 could have lost as well but other imo are obvious rublev has played once but that was obviously a rising rublev not as good as he is currently

Best Possible- Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Schwartzman
Worst Possible- Thiem, Zverev, Rublev
Although Thiem/meddy both could be equally tough but thiem in matchup with novak is shining these days so tougher match for novak although worst possible still I think is manageable for novak standards on indoor hard but still could be tough in that but best one imo he surely wins 2 matches

Unlike others I believe IF Nadal wants to win WTF he should avoid Zverev in Semi AND F. So I think if he faces off Zverev in RR it would be better for him. The best possible draw for Nadal
