yeah... i was just making a joke. to be honest, this WTF looks to me a toss up for NoVAxx, Jeringuillas, Mughiem, MugveDev and MugveRev
Well, I assumed you weren't... Some people are overrating Rublev currently, actually believing he is slam champ material.

He is the next Ferrer.

Your toss-up includes over half the field. That's a mighty geometrically-challenged coin...

Never heard of such record.

what's the current max amount of RG titles won by 1 tennis player?
and what would someone need to top it?

It should be Djokovic but I wouldn't say he's unbeatable.

Med imo is the second favorite if he can play like he did at Bercy.

Nadal has a shot too, he's always played better tennis here than in Bercy (Zverev and Djokovic are his worst match-ups in these conditions).

I don't have much faith in Thiem this time around idk why maybe I'll be wrong

I know perfectly his record of wins and losses in his history in the ATP Finals.
I was referring to the percentage that you or anyone would give Nadal to win the 2020 edition of this tournament.
According to my calculations, he would have a 10 to 15% chance of succeeding.
Do you agree or think differently about this?

Hopefully Djokovic but probably Zverev or Medvedev

Definitely not Schwartzman or Nadal :censored:

I put this in the other thread:

Here are sample percentages chances of winning:

Djokovic (65%)
Thiem (15%)
Zverev/Tsitsipas (10%)
Nadal/Medevev (7%)
Rublev/Schwartzmann (3%)

Are you somehow related to Goran Ivanisevic, by any chance?
What he is saying is Nadal will win Big. In fact Nadal has already won i think he is saying if you count the points and games won per player when event starts with live new balls and dont count the points and games with the dead balls.

I feel like Djoko wants to prove he is still the boss of tour. And that he will do it.
Wont help him even if he wins recover from FO and USO. He literally invested everything on winning both events. That said if he can win it keeps an aura about him. If he loses though that aura will diminish so it is a big event for him

It's pretty interesting how RR goes. As I'm seeing it Nadal gets Thiem, Rublev and Zverev. I am picking Thiem to win it all because I see him beating Nadal and Rublev then getting an easier SF. I have a feeling Novak dumps this tournament again. Medvedev or Tsitsipas look good on the other half. Ultimately if Nadal wins he'll deserve it.

Considering that this is the one tournament that the Big 3 have just rolled over at in the last few years to younger players and one of them is missing, this is a wide-open tournament. I would not be surprised if any of the players wins the title except for Schwartzman who is the only one without a chance in my opinion.

I am already thinking about the AO and don’t particularly care who wins this.

What is Nadal's percentage of winning this tournament?
10, 15%, isn't it?
I'd rank it something like this:

Djokovic 35%
Med 20%
Z 20%
Rafa 8%
Domi 8%
Tsitsi 8%
Rubles 1%
Diego 0%

Betting places have this (https://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/atp-world-tour-finals/winner):

Djokovic: between 13/8 (38.1%) and 5/4 (44.4%)
Nadal: between 5 (16.7%) and 10/3 (23.1%)
Med: between 6 (14.3%) and 5 (16.7%)
Domi: betwen 8 (11.1%) and 13/2 (13.3%)
Zed: between 8 (11.1%) and 7 (12.5%)
Rubles: between 11 (8.35%) and 10 (9.1%)
Tsitsi: between 12 (7.7%) and 10 (9.1%)
Diego: between 33 (2.9%) and 25 (3.8%)

I think Rafa is a tad overrated in the betting sites, but maybe I'm the one underrating him?
Rubles is grossly overrated IMO, he's beaten pretty much nobody of consequence or won anything big.

which is kinda sad because I'm rooting for those two

Any similarities between the performance in Italy followed by the FO? Rafa criticised in the warm up for the big one.
I mean I did have a small suspicion Nadal wasn't giving his absolute 100% in the Paris semi, maybe because he was so helpless on return.
But I'm not sure his current 100% will be enough to win 4 out of 5 matches in this format.
It will require him to GOAT on serve/return, and it depends on what the others bring to the table too.

They're attracting the bets by giving Rafa better odds. An indicator that the bettors see him as less of a favorite not that the bookies are overrating him. Same thing with Rublev. Methinks.

There is NOTHING bold in that. Thiem is the 2nd likeliest player after Novak.
I am not so sure about Novak...

He hasn't won it since 2015, and he did it 5 times previously.

Those are pretty imposing statistics. All those wins, then suddenly nothing. Can't be a coincidence.

Losing two finales he should have won are also very telling.

I am calling it now. Novak will not win this event.
