Is he in LA, OC California area?
I just realized MEP is lefty.
he's good.
while not aethestically pleasing to watch hit, he's taking 4.5 scalps.
if he's in tri-state ny, would love a shot
doubt i'd be in atlanta area any time soon.
buffalo might as well be another country. not happening i'd sooner go to croatia... can site see between getting my arse kicked. He said he is originally from Buffalo, NY - could he purchase a ATL - nyta2's city ( I guess somewhere in NY) -> Buffalo ticket for his thanksgiving/holiday trip?

I have USTA every Saturday, and I'm currently in a couple other leagues that are winding down. I have a day job and a family as well. Other than than, I'm pretty flexible.Post here if you are interested in playing MEP (@GSG). Let's have all these matches on @TennisTroll channel.
@GSG - how many matches per month can you dedicated to TT folks? What are your other requirements to play?
no offense to buffalo, just a far way to go for just a tennis matchHey, dats mah home town. Unfortunately no plans to go back this season.
@GSG what other sports did you play? play any for college?I have USTA every Saturday, and I'm currently in a couple other leagues that are winding down. I have a day job and a family as well. Other than than, I'm pretty flexible.
I love Buffalo, but I haven't lived there in over 25 years. I'm outside Atlanta. Tolleson Park is where it's at for anyone in town who wants to play.
I'd play MEP. Not sure what they hype is about it.
Well, we are trying to create some hype if you want to know the truth. I'm ready to play MEP, but my racket is currently under audit by the IRS ( international racket service).

I think you'd crush him because your have a good net game and overhead plus if you dropshot him to bring him to the net he'd be doomed.I wanna play him

Actually, I do not see him having anything that could hurt you.
Any tennis near Johns Creek? I get there for work occasionallyI have USTA every Saturday, and I'm currently in a couple other leagues that are winding down. I have a day job and a family as well. Other than than, I'm pretty flexible.

"Murdered?" Come on now, I think losing in a 3rd set tiebreaker can't be considered anything worse than manslaughter...Is he? 50 year old guy just murdered him the other day. TennisTroll beat him as well. His legend is out of control. He is a good player a solid 4.5. But that's it. Not even a strong 4.5.
No matter how hard we try, we'll still look on this as that... If a consistent player wins over an attacker - that one destoyed himself, or maybe defender cramped it out. If it's the other way around, the attacker crushed, hit through or picked apart his opponent. Tough to be humble to compliment "ways of victory" over "big weapons and shiny show"."Murdered?" Winning in 3rd set TB, looked more like a slap on the wrist... but I do understand a slap could lead to a very slow and painful end sometime.
considering the guy doesn't have "trained" strokes, i'm impressed that he's taking 4.5 scalps. Is he? 50 year old guy just murdered him the other day. TennisTroll beat him as well. His legend is out of control. He is a good player a solid 4.5. But that's it. Not even a strong 4.5.
He could be there for the right price I presume... .
ok my offer is two 2 gatorades and a new can of ball, regardless of the match result.
Take it or leave it.
The 10-pt tiebreak rule was invented by over-50 guys.I am sure if the 50 year old guy and GSG played 3rd set, GSG would win.
If the change of rules attract more players, go with itThe10-pt tiebreak rule was invented by over-50 guys.
It depends on if there is a Bills game going on at the time (and how well they're doing).I am sure if the 50 year old guy and GSG played 3rd set, GSG would win.
by lobbingI'd play him. Why not. I don't see how he would consistently get the ball by someone who has (just) a decent net game.

yeah, probably not going to get past mid-4.5, but considering the tools he has to work with, he's "good".
do i think he'll get to 5.0, no chance, but then again, my hopes for 5.0 are dim, and i have "modern" strokes.
so yeah, from a rec standpoint, he's "good" in my book.
fitness is already part the for ntrp/utr rating... so isn't even in my thinking. just "is he beating 4.5"? then, to me he's good (since i'm a 4.5)... obviously a 5.0 will think he (and i) suck.
Maybe it's a regional thing, but here in Atl we typically play a full third set unless agreed upon beforehand, in USTA as well as other leagues. And I can't recall ever agreeing in advance to a third set tiebreaker unless there were extenuating circumstances. Also most rec players aren't going to play 3 sets. Leagues use a tie break - so this idea that 50 year old guy would lose in three sets is not realistic. If he had to play 3 sets he might be only rated 4.0.
I wish it were that way here. An you have some spare time on court to hit after match!eventually we'll just spin the racquet to see who won.
yeah agreed. We don't really disagree - very solid 4.5 which is amazing given his style. My point is that he has notched some nice victories and a couple of losses now. Its not been total domination. I thought 50 year old guy did really well by slice drop shots off his serve and overpowering him with his serve. This meant he really was in the drivers seat much of the time.

what kind of league is this and what level ? and how would we get to the courts ? will the airline fare be paid for ?Post here if you are interested in playing MEP (@GSG). Let's have all these matches on @TennisTroll channel.
