2 Grand Slams 2 weeks apart

Don't those ITF pigs in the office or whoever responsible for the schedule see this, probably *a little* wrong?

If Wimbledon is the most important, then French Open must be a buildup event for Wimbledon 2 weeks earlier.

The schedule has been the same for about... oh I don't know... a few decades.

It's not the ITF's problem, the way I understand it, both tournaments have been asked to move and both have stated various reasons why they can't or won't (weather, who knows what else). If they ever agree to have a grass Masters, I wouldn't be surprised if Wimbledon goes a week later, but it might take a UN proclamation or something to get RG started a week earlier.

One reason why I rate the FO-Wimbledon double significantly higher than any other slam(major) double in tennis.

It's absolutely awesome to see the same player thrive on those two different surfaces, but the two week tune-up for Wimbledon in the wake of Roland Garros diminishes both events for me a little.

I'd like to see the FO moved a week earlier and the grass-slam moved a week later. Maybe they'll at least try it one of these years. Of course my selfish reasoning is that Newport could become a Wimbledon tune-up and I live only 20 mins. away!

Now with global-warming and change of climate they should take another look at the rescheduling.

Wimbledon can afford to move a few weeks later into the summer (weather wise) but the British can be pretty stubborn. :D
