I know it's a lot to ask but I imagine a MUCH better French Open Final in 2017 if Wawrinka beats Andy in 4 (much to ask because he lost 5-7 in the 3rd).

As for Wimbledon, 2015 had a puncher's chance if he takes out Gasquet in 4.

Beating the guy with the 4th best French Open career winning percentage in a final when you’re a one-time slam winner who’s never won that tournament before, that’s not a big deal?
To be fair, Thiem beat Djoker twice at RG with zero slams.

What are you talking about? Djoker had never won the tournament before either. Stan won a FO before Djoker did.

Having the 4th best French Open career winning percentage only matters with Lew.

What are you talking about? The fact Novak hadn’t won it yet either, when it was all he needed to complete a CGS, just added to the drama. I’m sure Stan thinks beating the world #1 in a slam final in the middle of one of the best years of all-time was just a waste of his time. Only on TTW.

Stan was never a threat on grass. He learnt his game on clay, then adapted on hard courts.

Anyway Stan the Man , the Stanimal is everyone's favourite both Roger and Novak and respected by their fans also.

I also believe if Stan had reached USO 15 final, the result would be different.

Stan's got balls of steel

Next Gen should be looking at Stan for inspiration, Stan doesn't back away in GS finals or let the occasion get to him in the slightest. He was playing his first GS final like he'd already been there lmao

Exactly..

I was surprised by his attitude in finals .
I initially thought he is tough for Novak but when I saw him moving Rafa side to side and blasting winner after winner without any care or stress , I was impressed .
It helped me during my exams ,I remember ( to be fearless no matter what )

For Wimbledon, I think he missed his biggest chance in 2014. He was the better player in 1/4 against federer for 2 sets... if he hadn't lost the 2nd 2nd set tie-break the result could (probably would) have been different.... As far as I remember, it was to play Raonic in 1/2 (Federer beat him in straight sets)
A Wawrinka-Djokovic Wimbledon final would've been interesting imo...

Stan's performance in the 2015 final is what's missing from the younger guys today. That ability to just take it to the top, be ruthless and not be awed by the aura of the Big 3.
