ah! finally found the av cable. then had to find the manual. and finally, i got the tape to play on tv :)

just want to thank you guys for putting up with my bad filming, and also filming me today. just watched what i got on the tv. the image quality is superb, but the sound is a little weird. also, my voice sounds hilarious lol. i need to shut up when filming. why didnt you guys tell me? such a bad accent. and all the stupid comments.

but the main thing is i have my serve on tape now, so i can see what i am doing wrong, and try to fix it! so thank you guys :)

PS i got my free tennis mag subscription today! yay for freebies :p

Also, Sup. Lemme know a guesstimate on how much i could pickup your nice set of Federer stuffs. I broke a string today, so once I get some Biphase/Alu in my racket i'll determine if it has enough pop for me to continue with. :)

But recently i've found plenty of power with the tweener K90, dunno what to attribute that too. Maybe i'm just learning how to play, though multi mains instead of poly better boost that serve over 117. That just won't do I feel like a newbie, or WTA Player.

Anyway, I gotta get back into the Tournament scene so I can be as consistently talented as Sup. Sup if you wanna play doubles in a tournament, Shcmad never seems to want to. But i'd like to get some tournament doubles played one day, be kinda a fun thing. If we happen to play the same tournament.

No problem playing with me doubles. I'm pretty relaxed in practice and especially in tournament play. Ice cold blood but I would like to win.

- Hey Zapvor. Takes a village to raise a child, and a whole chapter to get that swing respectable. I ordered one of those dog collar zappers, for your next lesson. Try to eliminate that extra loopy motion in your backswing. ZAP ZAP ZAP.

- Shcmad is improving. Remember its me. I would tell you the truth. More balls come over and with a little more spin. Still think the racquet is too heavy. What type of string set up are you using? Maybe you need to eliminate some lead tape and pick up a spin friendlly string. You definetly can generate racquet speed.

Alrighty guys. I pulled a lot of strings to make it to the chapter meeting. I got something in my eye during the first hour so I am sorry for having to stop every 15 minutes. Still fun. I suggest next time we go to TennisGuys neck of the woods.

P.S. Have a tournament that starts tonight. Odd that it starts on a Monday (like Wimbledon) but I need to "break a leg" tonight. Want to make a top ranking before Nationals end of July.

-I appreciate your comment on my game coz I know you're an honest guy. So, it was nice to hear from you that I improved a little. As you said, I also feel like I'm hitting with a tad bit more spin these days. That's what I'm trying to do at least. However, my racquet is not that heavy if you think about it. It's only about 12.7oz tops. As far as strings go, I'm using Babolat Polymono 1.30 in the mid 50's.

-I remember you were asking me if I play golf coz my backhand is a golf swing? lol. I haven't played any golf in the last 10 years. I went mini-golfing with PurePrestige last year, but that doesn't count since it's just put-putting.

-One last thing: Could you please tell PurePrestige that my forehand does not resemble *******'s in any way? I think he'll finally stop saying that my forehand is a Roddick carbon copy after he hears it from a respectable person like you.

- The american legion bridge hates me. I left at 3:30pm for a 5pm match from Tysons to Rockville MD/Olney. I got there at 5:15. Frazzled, since I like things in order I got penalized for my ****iness, but scrambled back to have three set points. I lost them then the set at 7-5. I pulled a Safin in the second set and missed more easy shots than I care to admit. Not feeling the love this morning. I eagerly want to get back out there and play a match.

-Today would not be a good day to shock collar Zap. I may forget to release the button.

-Raise your tension. Maybe its giving you too much power and not enough control. Just a thought.

- Still looks like a golf swing. Could be a new trend like the windshield wiper forehand.

- I wouldnt say your forehand looks like Andy's. Zap's forehand looks like Andy's. Yours is more Davydenko.

P.S. Watching Safin playing De Voest at Wimbledon. Mary Carillo saying that its such a pity he isn't trying to give his game some respect on grass.

Sorry to hear about the sucky tourney experience. Maybe this is a sign for you to get away from the Dark Side while you still can.

I agree zapvor's forehand takeback looks like Roddick's. However, I believe zapvor also straightens the hitting arm way before making contact with the ball. And, thank you for comparing my forehand to Davydenko's. I have a lot of respect towards him.

Maybe I'll raise the tension next time by 2lbs. and see what happens. And, also put the power pads that you gave me. Thanks again.

I hope zapvor sends Evites soon coz it's already Tuesday! Oh la la.

The player here has fault. I just got rattled with the commute and missed way too many close balls. The racquet played well, I didn't pull through when it counted. I'm itching to get out there and redeem myself.

I think its a good idea to raise the tension in your game. I bet the outcome will be outstanding. Or if i can quote Zapvor " Oh yeah.. Oh yeah.. oh yeah... ."

Heck, where is the evite. No waiting until Friday again. I can't make plans with that short notice. However, no problem this weekend, as I will be out of town playing in a tournament I believe.

what???? you saw mrhan on the bus today? i was taking metro this morning too. i went from chinatown to metro center to transfer to orange line and out to west falls church. so crowded. and i had your racket with me :)

shcmad brought it up again today. yea...i do say a lot. i sound awful too. my stupid accent. i also say outstanding a lot. and ridiculous. thats all i can think ofnow. the service lessons are sweet! i have been practicing, and it feels better.

Anyways, we had a short but good hitting session today. You came out firing forehands from the start. If you keep playing like that, I'll be embarassed to attend MAC meetings in the future.

Yeah, I got a summer job at the capitol and i live less than a mile from that metrobus stop. So I take it every morning to West Falls Church then metro to Capitol South. However I work for the Senate, so my starting time varies greatly day to day by our wonderful senators whims. So I catch a bus at a different time every morning lol.
Although this summer is the first time i've done this job, and the house i'm staying at is actually my aunts. But its good proximity to the bus. :)

I've decided that the next meeting may include a hitting training session.. ala bucket of balls, targets and zapvor doing laps for not following instructions.

Its Thursday and waiting eagerly to hear when the next meeting has been set. I have a feeling an evite was sent but I didnt get it. Can we get an answer by COB today?

First of all........Man crush? What man crush?

Secondly, the odds are clearly stacked against me, but I'm willing to place the bet with you, with one condition. You give me a can of Penn if Safinator takes breastFED to 4 or 5 sets. However, if breastFED takes it in straight-sets, then I shall give you a can of Penn Championship.

As much as I want MapaT to beat that overrated Roger guy, it's gonna be virtually impossible.

Kind of felt bad for my opponent this morning. After a bad last match and any loss, I knew that I would bring the everything i got and the kitchen sink to this mornings match. The hand shake and it was all business.

Won 6-2, 6-0. I was playing well. Just an FYI.

Well guys, it was a good meeting today. Only the three musketeers however. Zapvor Shcmad and myself.

All in all it was a good day. Shcmad with his effortless smashing of the ball like a true safinette.

Always amazed at the power he gets with such a nonchalant swing, and his backhand is just great to watch sometimes. I mean if he was 6'4" like safin he could be going pro, all he needs is that big serve and reach and stuff. (maybe a little consistency wouldn't hurt, cough cough (slightly higher tension/bigger head size cough cough (AG200))) Sorry took that from mainstream down to where only TW MAC people would get it, then where only Shcmad would get it.

Though the highlight of the day was truly Zapvor's fine play. Armed with my Head i. Extreme, (10.3 oz, 296 SW, and strung at a hefty 70 lbs with multi) he was an absolute machine. His consistency and shotmaking ability skyrocketed. He was smacking down the line and cross court with much more conviction and taking balls on the rise and even out of the air on some occasions. He is truly improving at a geometric rate.

Though the highlight of his improvement was his serve, which is actually starting to have some nice pace and consistency to it. I was surprised with the drastic improvements he has made. It would bring a tear to the eye of Sup.

Unfortunately I was lagging today, with my K90 in the shop for restringing and my other rackets feeling very odd due to weird customizations. I played very poorly for the majority of the time. Although towards the end using Shcmads Prestige MP with its nice multi at 62 lbs or so I started to be able to hit consistently and felt like djokovic for awhile.

Things we learned from today,
Zapvor plays better with either; high tension or lower swing weight, or more powerful racket. or all three.
Shcmad needs a little more control, he is hitting solidly and powerfully. Though when he gets lazy his shots get flat when he is moving well he is hitting pretty well. I'd like to see him use a 1.25 or lower gauge rather than his 1.30 current. and at a slightly higher tension. Preferably 62/60 rather than 57/55 which I think its at.

Outside of tennis. Zapvor met 2 ladies today who borrowed our court for 10 minutes to warmup for a match. Zapvor animatedly chatted with the ladies as they warmed up, and corrected their self rate of 3.0 to 2.5 lol which was quite a funny sight. Hopefully the ladies will return so Zapvor can have a match with them.

Good day altogether, though it will be better for me when I get my K90 back to start rippin the ball again.

Meeting # I dunno!

Hey fellow musketeers, thanks for playing such High-Quality tennis today. I had a lot of fun.

I uploaded the video footage taken with Zapvor's camcorder to my computer. By watching it, these are some things that I concluded:

-Zapvor's serve looks better on video than in real-life. I'm not saying that it looks bad on real-life. However, watching it on video, I paused on certain parts to 'try' to disect his service motion, and it seems like he has all the components for a good serve. In my opinion, he has very good technique. If I had one thing to tell you... it would be to try to make the whole motion a little bit smoother. I can see you jolting you body a little on certain parts. So, correcting that would lead to more consistency since there's less that can go wrong. However, I can tell you that, from my viewpoint, there's nothing wrong with the entire motion overall.

-PurePrestige looks like a 6.0 in the video. I mean, what can I say? He is a 6.0 in actuality. ;) I noticed that he completely straightens out his hitting arm on the forehand right before contact; however, during contact, his hitting arm has a little bend! What is this? A hybrid of the double-bend and the straight-arm technique... Who do you think you are, buddy? Verdasquito-Taquito? Only I shall have his forehand. :mad:

-ShcMad needs to take back the racquet earlier on the forehand side coz he's always late with the preparation. And, he needs to straighten out his left arm during the body turn. During serves, he needs to keep the ball-tossing arm up longer coz he lowers it too soon after the ball toss.


The highlight of the day came when Zapvor tried to pick up two 30 year-old chicks at once. I had no idea he was such a pimp. I had to write down his pickup lines on my notepad.

Toward the end, PurePrestige borrowed my pretty little Prestige Midplus and started blasting winners a la Djokovic. Not cool, not cool. It's not a good feeling when somebody outplays you with your own racquet. *cough, I'm not switching to the Aerogel 200 unless you give it to me for Christmas cough*

One more thing, zapvor, you should consider stringing in the 70's from now on. I was surprised to see you playing like that yesterday. You were out of your mind. Blasting running-forehands, taking balls out of the air, serving in the 100's, and taking balls DURING THE BOUNCE. Only my buddy Andre and I can do that. ;) Zapvor, I have a small favor to ask. Next time we play a match, could you please come to the net more often? After hitting about 10 succesful lobs, I think that's the only way I'll beat you.

Zapvor plays better with either; high tension or lower swing weight, or more powerful racket. or all three.
Shcmad needs a little more control, he is hitting solidly and powerfully. Though when he gets lazy his shots get flat when he is moving well he is hitting pretty well. I'd like to see him use a 1.25 or lower gauge rather than his 1.30 current. and at a slightly higher tension. Preferably 62/60 rather than 57/55 which I think its at.

Outside of tennis. Zapvor met 2 ladies today who borrowed our court for 10 minutes to warmup for a match. Zapvor animatedly chatted with the ladies as they warmed up, and corrected their self rate of 3.0 to 2.5 lol which was quite a funny sight. Hopefully the ladies will return so Zapvor can have a match with them.

i am still using pure prestige's racket because i havent gotten around to stringing mine, and i think i am getting used to it. it is much lighter. however i think he is being generous. i am still sucking as usual. there is imporvement, but its miniscule rate. i agree though i think higher tension is better for me.

shcmad with his curly hair is absolute safin. all he needs is a hot girlfriend or something. and losing in early rounds at grand slams. but he failed to wear adidas! shame on you shcmad

now pureprestige himself was lacking his k90 yesturday, and i have to say if you didint know him you would never have known it made a difference. i do believe he hit better in meetings past with the k90, but i am not so sure it was the racket. because at the end he was doing much better with the shcmad prestige. overall though he was still hitting very well. dont forget the guy serves 125mph easier than i serve 25mph.

lol yea so these 2 ladies wanted to warm up before their matches, and shcmad and pureprestige were nice enough to let them get on the court whilewe took a quick break. it turns out they were playing in a usta tourny 3.0. i made a comment that they were 2.5 but i was just being zapvor. i wish they were more attractive. anyways thats random.

the rest of you need to come to the meetings! we took footage at this last one as well.

oh did i mention i still suck? but my serve is getting slightly better thanks to pureprestige's tips.

-Zapvor's serve looks better on video than in real-life. I'm not saying that it looks bad on real-life. However, watching it on video, I paused on certain parts to 'try' to disect his service motion, and it seems like he has all the components for a good serve. However, I can tell you that, from my viewpoint, there's nothing wrong with the entire motion overall.

-PurePrestige looks like a 6.0 in the video. I mean, what can I say? He is a 6.0 in actuality. ;) I noticed that he completely straightens out his hitting arm on the forehand right before contact; however, during contact, his hitting arm has a little bend! What is this? A hybrid of the double-bend and the straight-arm technique... Who do you think you are, buddy? Verdasquito-Taquito? Only I shall have his forehand. :mad:

-ShcMad needs to take back the racquet earlier on the forehand side coz he's always late with the preparation. And, he needs to straighten out his left arm during the body turn. During serves, he needs to keep the ball-tossing arm up longer coz he lowers it too soon after the ball toss.


The highlight of the day came when Zapvor tried to pick up two 30 year-old chicks at once. I had no idea he was such a pimp. I had to write down his pickup lines on my notepad.

Toward the end, PurePrestige borrowed my pretty little Prestige Midplus and started blasting winners a la Djokovic. Not cool, not cool. It's not a good feeling when somebody outplays you with your own racquet. *cough, I'm not switching to the Aerogel 200 unless you give it to me for Christmas cough*

One more thing, zapvor, you should consider stringing in the 70's from now on. I was surprised to see you playing like that yesterday. You were out of your mind. Blasting running-forehands, taking balls out of the air, serving in the 100's, and taking balls DURING THE BOUNCE. Only my buddy Andre and I can do that. ;) Zapvor, I have a small favor to ask. Next time we play a match, could you please come to the net more often? After hitting about 10 succesful lobs, I think that's the only way I'll beat you.

nice! so we have it on the computer. i need to watch it. one thing everyone has been telling me that i have been stubborn about i finally decided to change after seeing myself on video. my loopy takeback! it is the longest and stupdiest takeback ever. i had no idea how long it was until i watched yesturday. so thats gone now. hooray! as fro my serve, it sucks. i am starting from scratch with the pureprestige method. my serves previous were just topspin stuff with ZERO pace. 2nd serve stuff,maybe.

hmmm...pureprestige 6.0? ok who am i kidding he serves 125mph. even serena would be impressed. and if we post video, you can see he is only using his arm! thats it. imagine if that body went to work as well.

shcmad is still trying to get over the 35mph serve mark. lets keep encouraging him guys. he will prevail;)

LOl i was picking the them up??? i didint realize. i was just goofing around for fun. they were like....old. and not hot. definitely no the highlight.

i almost forgot! when pureprestige switched to shcmad's racket, he did go novak on us. crazy kick serves and coming into net to finish off points. and thats playing against both of us. he is good at doing the novak. but what i like even more is him doing the roddick. hahahahaha that was funny. damnit!

and all that stuff about taking balls out of the air and on the rise all=lots of shanks. and i still need to get my bh back.

hmm...the lobbing. i am so chasing them down next time. but yea those were way too easy.

Ok, guys, I don't know which Shcmad we're talking about, but Shcmad doesn't have curly hair. If anything, zapvor and Pureprestige are the ones that have curls.

Anyways, zapvor's earlier post reminded me of yesterday's highlight: PurePrestige huffing and puffing while rushing to the net after hitting poor approach shots that ended up being sitters to be smacked and getting lobbed and getting passed left and right whilst at the net. Everytime after getting passed, he says "Damn it. God Damn it, Sorry God..." Oh gee, I wonder which ATP Top 10 player does that most often these days...

Haha why would he do that - that's like downtown at 10t&H such shady lodging, why not claim that he's staying at econolodge off rte 1 in VA if you want to insult him like that. That's like saying that Safin is gonna stay at SoBad's to save money haha... I'm sure he'll get a room at Park Hyatt or Gtown Ritz or the Mandarin or whatever.

There are like 20 hiltons here, are you suggesting the Hinkley Hilton? That's almost like suggesting that he's gonna eat at silver spring mcdonalds between matches. I am betting either gtown RC, Mandarin or 4seasons on Mst. Anyways, I don't care, I am not gonna talk to him at all, I never did since childhood because he was always the best and I was nowhere near. I sure do hope his mother is proud of him now.

Somehow this sounds like an insult to me, for some reason...;) HH is a big white hotel on CT ave where Reagon got shot... Suitable for a politician to give a speech and get shot, but not suitable for the best tennis player of all times to lodge.
