I see that yeah. Apparently though that’s not the case now though. The latest news is it’s going ahead and with some fans. Although if the virus cases get worse then yeah it’s still under threat. Hopefully they okay though as it’s done in 2 weeks. I feel they will go ahead as it’s a big event. I think the Japan officials and organisers are going against the medical people as they really want to complete the games as it’s already been cancelled last year.

It really would suck if the Games start but they get cancelled halfway

When he cried in Rio most of us thought he'd never get another chance. Then at the start of 2020 he was on a great run but tennis got suspended while Olympics were postponed. Now that the athletes have arrived in Tokyo and it's about to start, there is still concern. And Djokovic hasn't even begun wrecking our nerves on the court the way he knows best. So frustrating...

I’m pleased the olympics will have some fans apparently. They allowing 50% capacity for the just the Japanese locals to attend. They may allow players to watch some events too. It’s all down to how the virus cases evolves but if they stay as they are the olympics will have life to it.
Source? The latest news are that the Olympics will be held without fans attending witch is a shame since in Japan there are other sports events currently ongoing without any fans limitations whatsoever.

Yeah sorry it’s my bad. That article I posted was last month June 21st not July 21st. You correct there’s no fans and there’s a bubble which sucks. Still at least it’s going ahead at present.

I was about to ask this before. I can't remember him being in this kind of shape ever, even in 2011. He is still lean of course, but there is no doubt he has put on muscle. His legs seems bigger aswell, I noticed during Wimbledon. He looks amazing. He isn't as skinny as he was some years ago.

Or he is just sleeveless.
Djokovic gradually becomes Nadalovic last weeks.
  • He's a multiple-RG winner.
  • His slam count has reached exactly the same number as Nadal's.
  • He's doing a practice in Mallorca.
  • He taught his son a lasso forehand.
  • He's got a sleeveless shirt.
  • He's developing Nadal-type muscles.

What's next?

Becoming a lefty on court?
Wearing a headband? Pink and cyan outfits?
Loss of hair?
Yacht purchase?

Novak out of Canada.

At this point in his career, another superfluous Canadian Chp. wouldn't make much sense with the wear and tear of going to Tokyo! He proved he can short-hand it after winning Wimbledon with little prep after taking his 2nd FO! As long as he doesn't get injured or have a C-19 relapse, he s/b able perform admirably in NY next month! :sneaky:

Let's assume Djokovic will take part in the olympic final next Sunday.
Then he has been playing 32 professional matches over 83 days span (between May 11th and August 1st) including 20 must-win matches.

Some extended rest period is definitely needed before the US Open (week 35 and 36).
