Why are you so hang up on that? The one in the picture was a prototype, probably a year ago. I am pretty sure it will be addressed by now.
So any news on the next preorder or the release date? I just received my slinger bag yesterday and even tho they advertise it as portable and blah blah blah, it is huge and bulky. Contemplating whether I should return it and get a proton but it is also more than double the price...

return it, it totally suck. Proton can give you balls at 70 MPH with 3000 RPM spin. That is same forehand as many of the ATP touring pros. Can slinger bag do that ? NOT even close, not even 1/2 of that speed or spin
It is very tempting but the price tag is a bit too steep for me. I like the fact that it's actually portable and carryable unlike slinger bag which is the size of a large immigration travel bag big enough to smuggle 2 people.

I sold mine after using it for 4hr... my early bird pre-order price was around $900. and I think it has gone up since last spring.
even so.. Proton 100x better machine.

I donated that POS Slinger after using it one time. I could have sold it for profit but I didn't feel comfortable selling a "lemon" to somebody else because Karma will get me if I did that. I donated it and got a tax write off.

Think they might do another sale once they actually ship the machine. As of now first shipments are supposed to be out end of October. So Xmas present!?
I pre ordered in Nov (second pre order window I think) and mine was ~1200.

Would the motor burn out faster if you always set it at highest setting feeds at 70 MPH with 3000 RPM ??

No, that big machine doesn't even fit in my car trunk, you need a SUV to carry that around. Plus it is very limited as to what kind of ball it can feed. I need a machine like hydrogensports that can feed ATP tour or college level balls.
Yea, I decided to return it. The customer service at Slinger is very good, I'll give you that. They are allowing me to return it for a full refund without return shipping fees.

Yeah, this should work for hardcourts, not sure about clay though.

it should work just as good on clay, as long as it is good quality clay. You may have ton of cleaning up to do though. Try it on red clay and you may not be able to handle those 3000 RPM Rafa Nadal topspin shots coming at you, however.....

And I asked for a time frame perhaps, not of current status, which is not to be criticized.
You may understand that there is difference if I have to wait for 6 months or maximum a year, than 2-4 years, when it is totally pointless for me to read or write about it now).

Im on my third attempt to pre-order. The process is not great! The website is lacking some critical details about the process. I had my order canceled because my pre-order deposit wasnt right. Communication from customer service is also not great and certainly not the friendliest! Heard nothing about Android support either. Looks like a great machine but customer service, ordering, and communication are lacking!

I just got mine and it drifts a ton. Like it's shooting balls off the side of the court by the end of the basket. I'm not sure what to do with it.
