Wow is it nice to park it on Sunday and watch the games!!!! Nothing's as good as the NFL.

Wrong, what about the Rugby World cup 2007? Fitter players, Faster played, no non-stop breaks in play, no over complicated rules, actually having technique to tackling instead of just barging into the other player and using their big plastic pads. Rugbys for the tougher, stronger, and physically better athletes in the world
I would bet that if the typical NFL fullback were let loose on a rugby field, he would cause absolute havoc. The entire opposing team would have footprints implanted on their foreheads. I've watched rugby and those guys tackle like shiate.Wrong, what about the Rugby World cup 2007? Giants are about to lose their opening match against Dallas, what a shame, it's like i'm watching Giants of last year, Coughlin should go and they should put fresh new line backers because the actual line backers suck.
GO Bears!!!
any else with me?
Wow can't believe Green Bay beat Philly, not a good start for the Eagles but a perfect one for Favre in his last season.

Why do you doubt it? You seem to know very little or nothing about American football, so even if it is your opinion, it is surely one based on ignorance.i doubt it but that is my opinion, it would be an interesting experiment, to get some rugby players to play high level american football and american football players to play high level rugby
lol, the chargers owned them, and took out 2 of their players.

I don't doubt it at all. I wasn't pro level but I did play at a top 20 DI college and no.1 played rugby recreationally at a pretty high level with ex-college players a few years after graduating. Don't get me wrong, there are some very fast, tough, strong guys but not many at the NFL's level. no.2 The collisions aren't nearly as violent. The difference in speed and strength are very stark. Like Phil said, put Ladanian or any other NFL back, most of whom bench 350-400, squat 500-600 and no.3 run 4.2-4.4 forties and they would tear up a rugby field.
We'll make you bleed in February after we trample New England.Cowboys !! - America's Team baby
who would you rather face? a guy who looks like this:
and tackles like this http://youtube.com/watch?v=Xrbp1ASVhCg
or a guy who looks like this:
and plays like this:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=YJdCZTlRIsc
I'd rather choose the guy on the bottom to get hit by
I've played both, one at a very high level (football) and one (rugby) with college players (at least a decent level), so I can definitely make a better comaparison that you. I'll take the guy on top any day of the week. I'm 32 years old but I'll take that guy on 10 times a day before one attempt with an NFL linebacker of defensive end. Brian Urlacher of the Bears will eat that guy's cookies ANY day of the week. I played at a D1 shool, VA Tech, which is perenially top 20 in the nation and the next step down from Pro level. Granted, the USA sucks at rugby but even though rugby is probably the 50th most popular sport in our country, we still manage to give good old England (top 10 in the world and rugby is probably the 2nd most popular sport) all they want and be ranked in the top 20. We (the USA) always produce some of the best track teams in the world. Everyone knows (despite recent losses) we have the best basketball athletes in the world. There is no denying the athleticism of the NFL. If we put our best athletes into rugby, why wouldn't we dominate? Euro and South American basketball and soccer athletes are notorious for being "soft". Why would Mother England and all her Commonwealth spawn produce such fantastic athletes in rugby when they can't in any other sport, with the exception of soccer? And even soccer is debatable.
you have to understand that the reason those soft people play football and basketball is because they arent tough enough to play rugby, and again, you're playing rugby in USA, dont expect anything great

i thouht i explained, England suck, they have gone steadily downhill since RWC2003 and wil continue to suck, while USA are getting better, there is now even a big national rugby training center in San Francisco with good facilitiesThat's all well and good but you still haven't explained why we (USA) could hang with Englad in a sport we could give a toss about. The best athletes in the football/rugby mold in other countries play rugby. Here in the USA, they play football because 1. no one (in relative terms) plays rugby-there are very, very few junior/high school leagues and 2. why play rugby in the USA and be poor when you can play football and be a multi-millionaire?
And I don't expect anything great from rugby in the USA but at least I can make an educated comparison having played both. And by the way, I think these rugby guys are tough and fantastic athletes and in many cases, especially compared to NFL linemen, they do have more stamina and are better overall athletes. But to call them tougher, stronger, faster, harder hitters in flat-out false.
