nadal's red string...

Looks like he's either testing out some experimental Babolat string or trying Tecnifibre's Red Code, which would be my guess, but the other is possible.

edit: Oops my mistake.

Dunno, but the video was back in December. If he liked the string he probably would have used it at the Oz Open.

Well, if their babolat strings or not, they are awesome looking. It rocks with aeropro drive. But if they're new strings I wanna try 'em out. :D

that seems to be the general assumption. there arent that many other popular red polys out there, but i dont think its technifibre cuz i figure nadal would stick with babolat.

thats what his non match strings look like. They are actually pro redcode pj'd to look like babolat pro hurricane tour for the matches.

(note the sarcasm)

If i had to guess i would say it is some type of babolat string in development. I think babolat is pretty good to him so I doubt he would switch strings.

Oh well, one of two things.
Its redcode or pro supex big ace, because they are just about the only good polys that come in red. So he might be looking for a new string over his cheap 15L duralast...we might see nadal get even better, yikes.
OR, Babolat wants him to advertise the Aeropro Storm so they are trying to make Duralast in a Red color so Nadals racket and strings match color.
Sounds far fetched, but I bet aesthetics are important to Nadal, look at how he dresses hah.

the color is far from red code...to me it looks like pro line 1 or something new...

Yeah I'd have to agree with you...does his contract even allow him to use anything other than Babolat strings?

As long as everyone thinks he is using Babolat strings I don't think they care. Like he uses duralast, but is always advertised as using pro hurricane tour.

i think its a red version of his string. people think he uses pht, but he has something more like duralast in it, due to the translucent color. the red strings were clear, so thats what i assume

has anyone asked a Babolat rep regarding this video?? It would be interesting to see what they have to say (providing they don't ignore the question)!!

Not the same shade as Redcode. Looks more like Big Ace (red) in color but probably more than likely an accidental sneak preview of soon to be released string by Babolat in red.

My string guess would be Kirschbaum's new pro line strings. Unlike Red Code or the red Bi-phase, the pro line strings are translucent and Nadal's yellow strings have a translucent look to. I'm guessing he has been using a Kirschbaum and so was trying the new Kirschbaum.

He's using either Technifibre Pro Red Code or Kirschbaum Red Line I or II. I don't think Babolat is testing any red strings. He probably testing some other polys similar to his Duralast during practice sessions but goes back to the reliable Duralast during matches. He's probably on the market for new strings.
