wait a minute the actor who played The Joker is dead? i've been living under a rock. who was this guy? was he famous? he can't win the oscar cuz he's dead right? does this guy know that you won a 3.5 tournament and wear muscle t-shirts?
muahahahaaha. okay somebody take me to see the dark knight. i gotta see this movie. somebody also sneak me in afterwards to see hellboy 2. and then get me liquored up and then shoot me a couple times and then take my dead lifeless body to see mama mia.

Haha... I think that's because they were hitting some of those little pebbles on the court. I was aiming for those pebbles of course.
Sappy - Me want black Vapor Vs, they only have white. Those red Cage IIs kinda look cool though.

Hey man!!! I've been good. I haven't mentioned winning "that event" in over 2weeks.
True story - after watching Lord of the Rings, with my wife and sister-in-law, I was immediately dragged to see "Maid in America." Tried to make a noose out of twizlers to put me out of my misery, but they wouldn't stay tied together.

The week before my wife left she made me see:

oh god the little woman said she wanted to go see Mama Mia. i was like, "i'll stay home and watch the baby. you should go take your girlfriends or your gay friends or Sapient007." i just realized that was kinda rendundant.
JRK - you should learn a kick because you're taller than the average bear. my kick from my average bear height makes it just sorta kicky. from your height you could probably have your serve bouncing over the fence or maybe Xisbum and 4 of his friends from the lollipop guild standing on top of each other.

sorry, i've been drunk since Tuesday... and not keeping up.
i could use some kick serve pointers... and some new video
to see if i've stopped doing my "limp-wristed throwing style"
during my wind-up. (extra points if you know the movie quote)
(i served amazingly well last weekend.. only 1 DF and lots of ACES... and the whole time I was really just trying to spin them in. but since i was so relaxed the ball was finding the corners and hitting all of the lines... just like I did to Hollywood "even though he likes to call them out and Skunk, JR, and others all see it hit the line" WOOOO)
my kick serve now at least goes in the box but sits up like a meatball waiting to be crushed. but my rotator cuff is all jacked up so I probably am not following through out of fear of further injury.
so if your kick serve doesn't kick i guess it isn't a kick serve.

During these summer months, Skyline Sport and Health is holding drill sessions, 7-9pm, every week night. You may 'drop in', pay for the whole week...whatever. Cost is $40 for 2 hours. Not sure if there is a separate member or non-member fee, but I can check.
Also, they have them every week night *except* next week, when they will be holding the men's Open tournament.
If anyone has any questions, let me know. I would imagine I may pop into a few of these myself.

Mine eyes have seen the glory...
Still got my dress blues, dude. Still a little dusty from Gettysburg, but not too bad. Lost my other uniform, from the War of 1812, though. I remember Old Hickory well, and Jean Lafitte taught me all I know about Pirate Tennis. Showed me around the French Quarter, too.
Don't know about the dubs; one of our lady friends has been conspiculously quiet about our little challenge. The Sphinx lady writes more words than Stephen King on such deep topics as stinky tennis clothes, crying jags, firing teammates, etc., but she can't say one little "Yes" or "No" to our challenge? Lady Topaz, you gotta have a talk with that girl. :???:

i wouldn't mind demoing them for a bit next time i see you at our meets. i've hit with them before but that was when i was younger and more studly. i thought they had too much pop back then. but now . . . i think i might need the help.
xisbum -- aye. i have noticed the ladies haven't been too eager to play us. it's too bad because it would be great practice for them. they have nothing to lose. we are the ones with all the pressure. i can scarcely sleep at night. :twisted:

Well, not a doubles team. She's up in Moco, we were on opposing teams in DC. I've only met her that one time at Hains Point.
She had a pretty serious injury...she ruptured her plantar fasciitis. I think she is just getting back into playing again...that's why she's been kind of quiet. Oh, and she's been traveling a lot colleges with her young-in, who is getting ready to leave the nest I believe.

no potshots taupe pazz. i think you and the skunk vs me and the bum is fairly even matchup. i think we are both older than you ladies. combined we are probably 252 years old. i'm also fairly sure that the skunk is taller than i am and that toe pez is taller than the 10sbum. this oughta be good.
