Why does every American in the stadium seem to be brown nosing Rafa? Lets have some support for Andy as well.

Because he's #1 and a 6 time slam champion, he earned it. Let Murray earn it, he has enough ass-kissing in the UK. If he wants it outside of there he should achieve it like any good champion does.

All of Nadal's forehands in that point looked like the banana forehand he hit during his match with Versdasco.

Rafa bringing out the FLAT FOREHAND DOWN THE LINE:
Early

that was a huge one he hit early on. actually it was interesting in the post nalby conference, he said his forehand now matches up well with the nalby backhand.

great point there.

It just feels like Murray has the advantage even when he doesnt on hards against Nadal. He just has the game that doesnt fall prey to Nadal like Fed does.

You cant attack his BH.. Its too solid

The wind is insane out there. The ball is moving to sideways across the net. That's some nasty wind.

There is enough Murray brown-nosing from Britain. I like how the Eurosport commentators like to say that he is the "British #1". That's like calling Baghdatis the Cypriot #1. HAHAHAHAHA!

lol, plenty to like here, we brits can take it.

Okay, i can understand being number 1 and former champion somany times, but there are other player's who haven't achieved as much as Murray yet still get support.

Its not coz the American's just don't like the British is it?

If Murray ever devlops a game on clay and grass. LOOK OUT.. For real. THis guy is no joke when he is playing well. Hes very smart and has his base covered all around.

I may be stupid, but at least Bono can sing, unlike your emo-idol Morrisey. Also who the hell lives in Queens? Can't afford to live in Manhattan?

Jesus why the hell would I want to live that rat and cockroach infested Manhattan? Along with the fact that you have to pay around 3000 dollars a month for rent in a small crammed apartment to boot? And for your information kid, Queens has over 2 million people. The most of all 5 boroughs of NY. So you can shut your little trap and continue to cheer for Nadal like an obedient child.

^You underestimate him on todays grass. What makes you think he is so bad?

He is underestimated on clay and grass simply because his breakthrough happened in Toronto/Cincy, after the grass and clay seasons had ended.

He has a great serve and his movement will be more than enough to do well on grass. He also grew up on clay.

It's his bad habit. He has the height and the ability to play more agressive, but he likes to run around as if he's the size of David Ferrer. Not very smart.

what does height has to do with that? so you're saying taller player are more agressive than shorter ones?

Not bad.. Just not of the elite yet. It will be interesting to see how Murray fares this year during the clay and grass season.

on clay his passivity can make his shots (esp forehand) ripe for crushing, which is how almagro blasted through him last year. match against nadal last year shows he's pretty far away at wimbledon too.

That rally may be the single most boring thing I have ever seen. I may turn this off.

It would be unfair of me to say that Murray is more interesting than Nadal.

in modern tennis, with the heavier balls, generally slowed courts, the defensive player now has more chance than at any stage in the game's history. these guys have phenomenal defences and this is quite possibly the future of tennis.

But it isn't an interesting match-up. Can you see people watching this slow, non-aggressive baseline slug-fest week in week out?

With this wind, this is likely "Battle of the Pushers". Seriously, whomever puts the least pace on the ball could emerge victorious.

Not quite understanding Murray's game plan @ this moment.

When he beat Nadal @ the US Open, he attacked Nadal, hit flat, especially on his backhand, he has the ability to play great shot winners, i hope he'd apply that more.
