That sounds amazing, its just I have a fundraising event all weekend at the restaurant, so I can only play outside of the 11-5ish time frame. I really want to do one of these ladder mini meets to get some matches under my belt.
auzzie -- i don't doubt that to your standards you are playing some of the worst tennis in your life. . . but you keep winning. even if it's probably ugly - a win is a win.
also let me know when you're done with you gamma's.

I am all about winning ugly, its actually my normal game plan. But this is different, it feels like it is not me playing. What makes it even worse is when I have spectators, and the idea always pops in my head that they probably are thinking that this is how I normally play.
Appreciate the advice, I'll return the love when we play our ladder match
I know I shouldn't change frames, its just I still haven't felt competition comfortable with the Gammas yet. So it unsettles me.

If we camp out first week in June, looks like I'll be defending my Shiloh title too on the same weekend. Wow! I'll be busy.

You are speaking truth, but you have also found your go to frame for the next 5 years...
I had the 4th court. Freezing, somewhat slick, patches of court missing, We actually lost 2 balls because they were shanked straight up and the ceiling consumed them. I couldn't use anything to my advantage, because I am having trouble hitting the ball in right now, but our match ended up being plenty of long points of just loopy sky balls.
And no, a guy used his feet when running through the window...

Even more so after yesterday. I played my inaugural clay court match w/ the M-Comps and was very, very pleased. I took a hard fought 7-5 set against a 20-year old former Mason #3 (now going to VT and playing on the club team). Clay is his favorite surface.
We'll need to setup a day when you have some free time & come out to Warrenton. The great thing about the courts is you can usually get 2+ hours w/o anyone bumping you.

So you can't make it Sunday? I understand the previous commitment thing, but we will miss you nonetheless. You could work out the kinks in your game on us and still win 0&0. Maybe we can work on some mini-meet the following weekend (Memorial Day weekend) a bit closer in for you. Lady Topaz, guys, what say you? Let's put one together for the Auzzie.
Wanna try 10 a.m. at either North Hills or Glade, as soon as Allie makes up her mind? Looks like she's taken the "snarl" curse off me, but I kinda like the "little boy smile with that slow Southern style" image. Think I'll keep it for a while and leave the snark to Allie; she's much better at it than I.

Agreed about caring about what other people think. Its not my strategy in question. Its the way it looks when I hit the backstops regularly when I am just trying to play safe. Doesn't normally happen to me.
Shoot, I'd love to play on your home courts. Indoors or clay outdoors, almost preferably the latter. Keeping this on the backburner.

yeah and having to wait for the fire rescue workers to clear everything before starting a match up again mid-match was even better.

was it north hills that you preferred? that's fine. are there showers at your club? i have pick up my mom at the airport, and i'd like to be freshly showered to welcome her home, rather than reeking of sweat and defeat.

Houston, we have a problem. Uh, Allie? Reston doesn't have an indoor club. There are swim facilities with showers next door at both places, but they don't open until Memorial Day. My club is in Fairfax, at least 30 minutes from where we'll be in Reston.
Would you prefer that I get some indoor time at Fairfax Racquet Club (no clay courts, unfortunately, but showers galore) Sunday? Not sure I can get more than an hour if we go that route.
Striker, Lady Topaz, hold on while we work out these logistics.

sorry i am not able to come out right now so you can whoop up on me for a couple hours. that always seems to improve the confidence.
my suggestion, FWIW, would be to try some poly at 57-60lbs in the Gammas.
if you don't wanna spend a lot of money experimenting with ALU...
you can try the Enduro Pro 17/16 hybrid that is in the Extremes.
it should give you a lot more power and spin.
you might have to change the way you bang that one BH down the line, put a little more spin on it, but it was like a lazer beam anyway that seemed to have an eye for the tape when we hit w/ Sup.
i am still waiting to try it on the TF320s cuz i don't wanna waste the Red Code and by the time i am playing, maybe the Red Code will loosen up a bit.
but full ALU @68lbs is crazy high in a 95" frame. combine that with a low powered frame and it is like bringing a knife to a gun fight.
sigh.. why am i even talking about tennis now.. sniff. good news is when i roll over in bed now.. it has gone from EXCRUCIATING pain to just pain. I think something is healing "up inside themz janks"! plz heal! plz plz heal!

x, no problem...i'm an asian grrrl. which means that my body is not only incapable of metabolizing alcohol, it's also incapable of emitting foul odors. besides, i just found out that i have to attend another philanthropic function that evening, so i'd rather hold off on my grooming until i get home anyway.

My wife made chicken burgers with spinach, turkey bacon, feta cheese, and AVOCADOS last night. I was watching my wife take the seed out of the avocado (properly) and my eye started twitching. I think I may have PTSD or PTAD (post traumatic avocado disorder).
