pink shirt

Comeon now. So who here dug the pink shirt? What do you think his reaction was when someone handed him a pink shirt to wear? Does he have any say over what he wears?

In the interview on the blog he said that the shirt he was going to wear tomorrow (that's today's match) is one of his most favorite outfits ever. Go figure.

IDK, to see the gladiator Nadal, the number one player in the world, and one of the most accomplished players in the open era wearing some little prissy pink polo is kind of embarrassing to me. He even played poorly today. That is a sign to go back to manly colors.

haha if anything it's not the color it's the cut...i heard he won in straight sets (surprise surprise), but i'm just now watching the match, and the 1st set was actually close

Yea, it was definitely not one of his more convincing FO 1st round matches.

I liked it!
Not that I would wear it, but if anyone on the tour is going to rock pink, it would be Nadal. It's a true depiction of of today's youth fashion. Well at least here in Australia.

No, if he complains or shows any sign of discontent, Uncle Tony makes him sleep in the car.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it for Nadal; now if some kook wants to wear it around the local courts that may look a little worse.

From a gladiator to a sissy boy--what a transformation. Nicely done, Nike. :)

Being pink doesn't mean you're a sissy. It means you're comfortable with your masculinity :)
Those who refuse to wear pink are insecure :p

I LOVE THE NEW NIKE LINE!!! The color clash is very early 90's ala agassi. Like here:

Federer's is awesome too. Anything is better than that black sailors uniform he wore last year and the green lantern look for nadal.

In a fit of emotion, nadal should rip off his sleeves right before the start of the final. It would be awesome. (Nike would ofcourse design the shirt to do that... so it would totally kick ass)

I don't care what he wears, well, leather chaps might be going too far..........

I seriously don't believe when someone handed him the shirt he thought, 'oh hell yes! And yellow?! I am going to look good, I am going to look so good(,no?).'

As for the pink, and all these bright colours, they are in fashion at the moment.

He likes it.
I think it look good, something a bit different. He can pull it off, and has won 4 titles there,so i'd say that entitles him to wear whatever he wants.
(I did like the Uncle Toni idea though, of making him sleep in the car)

A lot of hetero sexual men wear pink. Nothing wrong with that.

I hope you are not homophobic living in Amsterdam..

De smiley aan het eind van de zin,heb je die gezien? Ik ben geen homohaater. Waarom zou ik lol.
There is a stigma attached to that colour you know.

Ok fair enough.. als het als grapje was bedoeld had ik eerder een ;) of  verwacht.. vandaar mijn opmerking. Achter mijn opmerking had ook wel een ;) gemogen. Zo serieus bedoelde ik het ook weer niet.

I actually thought the stigma had been broken over the last few years. I think 1 or 2 years back Nike had another pink shirt. I saw that shirt quite a lot on the tennis courts. And I see men wearing pink shirts with business suits a lot these days.

I was thinking that psychologically, seeing Nadal across the other side of the net must be quite intimidating for a lot of players; but the pink shirt kind of negates that. It's like, deep down inside, you just automatically believe you can beat a man in a pink shirt. It will prove to be his undoing.

i guess i can deal with the pink. i mean, at least it's a darker shade and not the color of my niece's walls. but it's nike's color combinations that irk me. pink and neon yellow?

actually, i'm over all the yellow tennis shirts. why would i want to match the balls?
