Here's a picture of my little baby. After using an Eagnas lockout machine for the past 4 years, I can really now appreciate the quality of good clamps and parts. Granted, I dont string too many racquets. Just string for myself and friends, but I really enjoy stringing as a hobby and just thought I would treat myself to something better having used something so bad for all these years.

That was one of the reasons why I purchased this machine. The clamps and overall parts are totally awsome. I had a choice of purchasing the star 5 and I know the star 5 is top of the class machine but just wanted something a bit more unique looking.

It is a dream to string on this machine. The clamps are great and extremely stable and solid. One of the best features that I also love about this machine is the automatic tension head raising. As you tension the string the tension head raises automatically which reduces friction as it gets pulled through the gromett.

I was looking around on the internet, the gosen machines seems to have the same logo, yours is Xtreme Sports right? are they made by the same manufacturer?

Thanks for posting that pic. Mine is the xtreme sports that's correct. I was speaking to the distributor and he did say that a new model will be released called the rxv3 later this year which will have cosmetic differences and so e extra additional features.

The machine that you posted looks like what the new model will look like. That machine looks totally awsome. Wish I waited but for a home stringer I don't think it would matter as much.

yeah wheels with locks
the way i made the reel set up was with a 32" bar and 2 "Y" shaped cuts of wood so its simple as pulling it up, while pulling string from the wheel puts downward pressure keeping it still while rotating simple and effective :) tho im going to stain it tomorrow if its not to hot

I just need to find a place to place a cup holder on my machine.That is an option that should be on all machines.I usually place a drink on my desk that the machine is next to, and more times than once it got dumped all over, last time I put a drink on the printer thats on the desk, and when I spun the racquet around, the handle knocked the can right down.

Hey, thanks Jim. What kind of machine do you use? Never thought about the cup holder, maybe I'll work on that next. I can see the handle on your frame swinging around and doinkin your drink, lol.
I also have a Silent Partner DG.(hence my screen name)
I wanted to get a backup in case the DG ever went down. One thing led to another and shazam, I ended up w/this set up. The DG is a real nice machine but I think this set up with the Wise gives me more accurate pulls.

That´s the Arfaian/Pro´s Pro professional 8000. A solid machine made by eagnas a couple of years ago.

It´s actually very solid and easy to use.

I have the manual as pdf for it if u need it..

Hey drak-A definite wise decision (no pun intended) The only thing I really hate about it is it has no knot button/setting. I've checked and checked the calibration and it really is accurate within a 10th of a pound or so.
I strongly urge you to purchase through TW get them to agree to handle warranty issues. Dealing w/Herb Wise is a less than desirable experience. This is my second go around with the wise. Let us know what you decide, and of coarse, pix, pix, pix!! I'm out

This is what i call a beasty machine, looks rock solid, a pity they don't sell them in Europe. I think this baby can compete with the top notch machines...

It's a fantastic machine. The machine has been used to string in the aussie Davis cup matches and some Aussie tournaments. It has also been used in some Asian tournaments I believe. It's great machine and something which will hopefully last me for quite some time.

BEAUTIFUL MACHINE! I have its predecesor, the SAM Pro-Master, and I absolutely love it. With how much I love my machine, I can only imagine how much you must love a newer, better version. Enjoy.

Hi

The Sam Pro-Master is just as good as the RX-V2 machine no questions. I'm sure they have the same electronic parts.

I would have purchased the Pro-Master as well, but I really wanted to treat myself to something a bit different to what I was using which was a crappy Eagnas lock out machine.

Thanks I'm excited (if you couldn't tell from my other post).

I haven't calibrated it yet as I just bought the Berkeley digital fish scale from Walmart today.

I used a Klippermate from 2005 until now (still have it actually) and I'm 50 years old so there is likely hope for you yet. Save up the money you would have spent having someone else string your racquets and eventually put that into a new stringer.

Once you've saved enough, keep an eye on e-bay and craigslist. The latter is where I found the above Neos for $500.

Glad to see the machine you got looks to be in great shape.

If you go earlier in this thread, you'll see my Tenex 4000 machine, which is like the poor man's version of the Prince Neos 1000. I got it from a garage sale I saw posted last summer on Craigslist for $25. I spent an additional $110 for new clamps, calibrator, and starting clamp. Not bad in the end.

I hope you enjoy stringing on your "new" machine. Please post on your experiences!

Never fear, my friend. They are in the bag and in another stack across the room. The PKs are mostly unstrung, pulled them out to look at them. And think about stringing them. The Dunlops still rule the roost. :)

I've strung two racquets on it and so far it has been nothing but great. The first racquet only took me 40 minutes and that included reading the stringing directions in the Neos manual. The second one only took a bit more than 30 minutes and was by far the fastest I'd ever strung a racquet. So easy even me and the cavemen can do it.

That is quite a deal you got there VGP. Do you have a picture of your stringer after all the mods you did to it or do the pictures you've already posted show them?

I decided I wanted to buy the Neos after I found it on craigslist because that is the stringer used by both of the MRTs in the proshop of my club. Also my next-door officemate got a deal similar to yours when be "bought" a used but good condition Eketelon model H (the Neos' granddad) from a guy for something like $100 plus lifetime stringing privileges. Then the seller promptly moved before my buddy ever had to string a single racquet for him and without leaving any forwarding information so he couldn't even be sent the $100 he was owed. When they met a couple of years later the seller just said about the money, "don't worry about it" and presto, my friend had a free stringer!
