was this at a pro event? i saw karlovic with a black and white bab...maybe they are comng out with a new line

I think it is a TT Warrior OS with a babolat paintjob on the edges. If you own a TT Warrior it is easy to take off the logos and apply paint.

I doubt i'm right, but there was an old cayman (or was it wavex??) racquet with a similar paint job... was the racquet head very small? (It's hard to tell in this picture)

This must be some new intermediate player racquet which Babolat has coming out together with their pure drives.

It looks similar to the speed pro, or at least the color and beam does.

it looks so familiar though.. it is definitely a paint job though. i doubt it is a Babolat for a couple of reasons: i've had/felt/workedwith every Babolat model that has ever come out in the US and I can't ever remember a stick like that. Also, it seems as if the double lines mark on the frame are not parallel to the crosses, but rather at a perpendicular angle with respect to the frame contours

Some poster mentioned a TT Warrior which is not possible as there are 8 mains in the throat.

it reminds me almost a Pro Kennex in its shape, picture was definitely likely taken at either the 10k Futures in Sumter or Hilton Head

Michael? What a weird way to wake up in the morning. Yes that's me. Yes that's a painted frame. I must be in the twilight zone.

I have absolutely no idea what racket it is.. it looks like a prince, but paintjob suggests a babolat :-?

Its a PT280. And can some moderator delete the picture? USCRoddick emailed me and wants to take it off but can't edit his post.

My my my, look who has been practicing. That form is still yucky as ever =D. When you come to Houston let me school you. I'm cold blooded now.

Well.. at least tell us which racket is underneath the paint-job.. :)

Don't take this the wrong way, but at this forum we are more interested in the racket than the player holding the racket. Yes.. we are racket freaks of nature.. ;)

Racket looks really nice :)

I have said it already. Check post #24 and #26.

I asked the OP, someone I know, to take it down as a courtesy because its a picture of me, taken without my permission or knowledge. He obliged but can't edit his post. Its also technically in the wrong section, as I'm not a pro.

I assume the picture resides on some Host (imageshack...) linked to this message board post. The OP should be able to take it off the Host and then it should disappear from here...

I know. It feels like I must be on everyone's ignore list. Its a Head Pro Tour 280, end of story. I'm not guessing. It's mine. I painted it.

Lindsay, you are an expert stringer, so let me ask: what strings work best for you on the PT280? Because, I do have an Austrian PT630. Tried it w/ 18G Head PPS at 53lbs per a member here. Was way too powerful.

Also, per another thread, I think you strung Greul Simon's Ozone Pro Tours (or Kblade 98 w/ paintjob) Can I ask, what strings and at what tension does Simon play with?
Thanks of bunch!

Sorry, to the OP, didn't mean to hijack this thread..

Gruel was playing with a KBlade at the time, strung with Pacific Polyforce at 22Kg. I'm stringing that PT280 with MSV. I'm not sure which one it is, its a 1.23 in blue that was given to me at the GSS Symposium. I'm stringing it at 48. And to dincuss, I'd rather this thread not exist, as its a slight invasion of my privacy, so I'll choose to let you doubt me.

Thanks indeed.
Well it makes sense bec. I remember seeing that "X" on his racquet, which I didnt know what it was when I wanted to find out before.

And by any chance did you notice any customizations on Greul's K98, such as lead tape? If so, at what locations were the lead tape on his racquet?
He is an a'some player, imo.
Thanks very much again for the wonderful "insider" info!

Absolutely no customizations. He was having some arm problems, so he borrowed some plain frames from a friend and spray painted them himself.

Nice PJ Lindsay. How long did it take you to paint it?

About a week. I was stringing at the event in Sumter and took it with me to tinker with on my down time. Its not perfect. Some paint smeared where the machine mounts made contact when I strung it. I will touch it up later this week. I have another PT280 that I want to paint all black with white stripes. I have another event next week so I'll take it with me there.

That things is soo round. I think it's a frame with a custom paintjob.

I thought it looked round, too, even kinda like an Extreme Pro.
But I think it is just photo illusion. PT280 is not round, more like ovalish. It is like a true 95ish square (by measuring standards of companies other than Head) If Pro Tour was really that round (and thus forgiving) it'd be an awesome racquet, imo.

LOL. The guy is at like 100's in ATP rankings, and he spray paints himself!

Unbeliavable difference between players who are in the top 10 or 20, who would get paid probably millions by racquet companies...but if you are at 100s, you get to spray paint yourself lol...

And also very interesting that he plays/played w/ stock KBlade. He was hitting super heavy balls at a tourney in Rome.
Well thanks again for all the info!
