GREAT... No more wimbledon LIVE

For those of you who don't know, Wimbledon LIVE was a serivce that charged you 20£ or something like that and you could watch all the matches from almost all courts LIVE, through the internet. You can watch live with excelent quality with full screen available and if you miss a match you had a database with all the tournament played matches with even more quality! Download speeds were awesome too.

Yeah the BBC is the best grand slam coverage ever! Multi-court all-day-every-day HD coverage with no ads ever!!!! How perfect is that?

And of course the other cool thing is that I'm in West London, so I can go there easily.

Yeah i agree, what was with all the womans tennis during Federers matches?! But over-all it was pretty good. The best thing about the BBC is no ad breaks. I honestly don't know how they cope in the USA with all those endless patronizing advertisements.

This is bad news - most likely a conflict of interest is involved. I bet ESPN complained and some kind of impasse resulted. ESPN 360 now has the North American monopoly on online sports streaming, despite not being available to everyone. Just wonderful.

I think it's amusing that one cannot even pay money to get decent service. I guess nobody wants mine - at least not in this country.

The thing is that Wimbledon had in the past complaining about posting stream links,so they were removed.So it maybe a little hard to find them in the internet.

Their partnership with Mediazone ended (abruptly). Apparently, they have now partnered with IMG Media (the company that provides online streaming and match archives for the ATP).

"Details of Wimbledon’s online video service for the 2009 Championships will be published in spring 2009."

i don't know..
i went to the site to buy my access like last year and found this...
i'm a wimbledonhoolic and last year i loved the online streaming service.
I could watch the matches i want, without the annoying commentators, listen to the ball, players and crows noises...
Hope that LTA solves thit ASAP

+1. DirecTV during the first week of a major is sweet. Having 6+ different courts to watch during the week all day every day is, like, totally wicked.
