Womens screams get louder as the point goes on. Bad news.

Watching any womens match, it's pretty much the same thing. Hard grunts turn into screams turn into desparate yelps that say "This one will be a winner or else". I happen to be watching Serena's 1st round Wimbledon match. No offense to the ladies on the forum, but this is UNACCEPTABLE play imo.

I already don't like serena and I was even more embarrassed watching her today in the highlights. Her grunts were so long and loud that they were basically still going on while Silva was hitting the ball.

Womens tennis should cease to exist. It is embarassment to humanity. Also would be great to be able to watch only all the entertaining mens matches out there.

I had no idea women still played. I totally stopped following WTA after Henin retired. Ah, one of my last memories of WTA is when Henin straight setted both William brothers at the USO. Awwwww....

I put plenty of thought into that post. I'd rather watch spongebob reruns than the WTA and I don't want to even discuss the WTA. If you have a problem with that well then that's tough. I'm not the only one around here who doesn't enjoy WTA. I stopped watching when Henin retired.

I turn up the volume and watched Schriekapova and the other russian(?) girl for a few minutes .....I mean Oh my God. When this will stop??? This is just like orgie on the court! Can't take it at all.

I honestly think that she and some of the other women use their shrieks as a weapon, especially when they start getting behind ........ but i haven't yet heard Larcher de Brito of Portugal. Apparently, someone complained about her in the grass lead up to wimby, and today at her presser she was asked so many questions about it that the moderator finally had to ask questioners to change the subject! :lol:

Serena doesn't bother me for some reason. I'm even able to tolerate Sharapova but, Azarenka gets on my damn nerves!!! It's not even a grunt!

havent heard it for a while, but i seem to recall it sounds like a yip .... and with azarenka, she does it on every, single stroke! :mad:

Watching Serena's match, her screams came after her shot, almost like it was meant to disrupt her opponent's (Silva) swing. Really annoying. Man, Serena looks so miserable out there.

Anyone who has been to a big tournment like Wimbledon, whereby both sexes are playing at the same time, cannot help but hear these women. I heard Sharapova who was two courts away sreeching. It sounds so darn amateurish especially when you are watching a really good men's match. I think something should be done because it is so selfish

Any word on whether Wimbledon has done any cracking down as they said they would earlier this month?

It's unwatchable. And it's terrible sportsmanship to shriek so loudly that your opponent can't hear the ball hit your racquet. What's the point in asking the crowd to stay silent if the players are screaming? People need to start getting booed more often.

I agree that women's tennis is a waswte of good court time. People don't watch women's tennis for tennis but for the t&a factor. I can't Sharapova and she's the sports poster girl. Hopefully, I am not the only one.

One of the few times I 100% agree with you NF. Its PATHETIC and if I was a fan in attendance I would heckle the crap out of a player if they made that much noise.

+1. The screaming is getting ridiculous on the WTA. Its turning into a joke. These women sound like they are being hacked to death. Just youtube Larcher De Brito for instance. Add that factor to the weak tennis being played and choking: unwatchable.

note: PREjudgement does not come into my opinion ..... I was of the opinion that some players use their grunting as a weapon before I became a member here. It was an opinion I came to on my own AFTER watching others, but in particular the WS excalate the volume and length of their grunts into shrieks when they get into trouble.

note: I still have not judged Larcher de Brito's grunting, as I have not yet heard it.

question: um ... gorecki ... which part of my post is, as you wrote, "wrong"??? :confused:
