Roger to have more slams than entire field

Starting 2010 Federer will have more slam titles than the entire field....combined....Due to Marat and Ferrero retiring at the end of this year. Not sure what is Johansson, Moya's and Gaudio's current activities...

I wonder if that ever happened before...Any clues?
Here's my count...Help me if I'm forgeting anybody.

Nadal -6
Hewitt-2
Djokovic-1
Roddick-1
Gaudio-1
Johansson-1
Moya-1
Del Potro-1

Total=14

Lets not forget that 13 of Federer's slams didn't count because he never played Nadal...........

Actually, no...everybody knows that.
I thought it was a curious fact so I posted it.

But my real curiosity was to see if anybody did it before....maybe Laver..I don't know.

But let me guess...you probably started to follow tennis less then 10 years ago and know jack about past champions...

Ferrero is not going to retire.

He's not in the Paris draw, which would mean that he retired in Valenica.

But there was nothing to be heard of Ferrero retiring in Valencia.

I call BS on JCF retiring.
