there's been a lot of bashing going on in the forums about nalbandian's beer gut i was just wondering if you guys had any recent pictures of him

Nalbandian is just like me, big-boned, i know i have called him Donut-dave etc in the past but he is not fat at all imo.

Hes probably only about 10-15lbs over weight. Its just there re not many players who aren't really lean and ripped so he stands out as the tour fatty to everyone on here

I'm not sure what he's eating, but there are rumors that are yet to hit the pipeline of major news networks, that Nalbandian is not actually recovering from hip surgery, but in fact he is currently serving a suspension from the ATP who felt he some time at fat camp might do Dave well.

Ofcourse, the entire story is on a laptop of a girl who is currently on a world-wide cycling tour.

Thats not what i heard, i heard that he tried to rob a Dunkin Donuts store in New York earlier this year and that he now is doing hard time in Thailand !

keep 'em rolling guys! this is so much fun! i guess your humor will be more than enough for me. i kinda feel sorry for the guy seems like the matt hardy of tennis.

with that belly he's still capable to beat Rafa :)

Yeah, his legs are really fit still. It's just in the gut and up top a little. He carries it well, he's got broad shoulders and he's light on his feet.

Wonder if the additional weight has caused the hip problem. Guga and Magnus Norman had a similar injury, though, right? Three totally different body types right there. Interesting.

Big deal, he wears an XL instead of an L. I do see him looking like Lundgren in tem years if he ever starts coaching. Goatee, gut, a trio of chins and a big mane of greasy hair.

BTW, thanks for posting that video. David's forehand is really perfect. And for a two-handed BH, that's pretty smooth.

incidentally i looked up lucas arnold, the other man in the video. looks like the guy's a veteran who had a testicle removed due to cancer in 2008 and is now back playing. happy for the guy that he got back to doing what he loves.

Lucas played the entire year 2009 after his illness, and he's been doing fine.
I believed he's played couple of doubles tournaments with Nalbandian at the very beginning of 2009. Coincidentally Arnold's doubles ranking is 65 and David's singles probably is 65 too!

Nalbandian doesn't have the perfect abs, but his upper body strength is scary. You need more than just perfect timing to hit his kind of angles.

always makes me happy to hear something like that.

david always strikes me as a guy who could be a quarter step quicker. if he was, he'd be a slam threat. it'll be interesting to see what shape he comes back in in 2010, i can understand that he's taking it relatively easily atm and expect him to step up his training in the off-season. but i can't see him murraying himself*, and that's a shame.

*fps dictionary- murraying- turning yourself into a tennis iron man.
