Any time. Do some research on this racquet. I've been told it is one that is recommended for bad elbows due to the flex and weight. I'm hitting with Ryan tonight at Lake Cane. I got the last court at 7. I never knew those DP courts were there. Are they public and have lights? Its also good to know they have a wall. When I was getting back into tennis, I used a wall alot. I had to hit in the racquetball courts at Gotha Middle Schhol - but not open on weekends.

I played doubles at OTC Saturday against JN and PM. I played with the guy from Phillips Landing. They won 7-6, 7-6. we finally won the third 6-3.

It does look like a good racket for me. Glad you got to play dubs with those guys. Did you play singles with JN and then dubs? The DP courts are free and the lights are OK.

In session 4 of my elbow treatment. I'm going from 1 week of icing to heating it when I do my self care. The Golfers Elbow is now a little more sore than my triceps tendinitis. I almost feel like I might be able to serve with very little pain.

Interesting teams because PM and DT used to play doubles together and were very good as a team. I played the Citrus my first two years with DT. Both times when we lost, we were up a set and a break! The first year we lost to the eventual champions.

Tried them yesterday. STrung the mains at 53.5 and the crosses at 56.5. It still didn't feel as "cushiony" as yours felt. Im not sure why that is. Maybe I have a denser string pattern. Didn't feel bad though. I definately got a bit more power on my serve . . . especially the 2nd.

As for the strings themselves . . . I didn't notice much of a difference. Nothing significantly different at least aside from the softness. Sometimes when I get into a hard hitting match my right elbow will be a bit tender and hot. Goes away the next day usually but my arm felt 100% normal after playing yesterday with your string. Probably going to play today after my class. Give them another shot when they have broken in a little bit more.

i think your racquet is an 18x20 which is denser so you won't feel the cushy as much. good that your arm notices the additional comfort.

That is the one thing that concerns me about the Prince stick I'm looking at. I've always hit with 16 x 19 and that one is an 18 x 20.

I started up a set with a friend of mine last night. Played awful and could not keep the ball in the lines. I hate that so much. I think every point he got was an UE by me. That is the worst part about tennis. When you play someone you should bagel and somehow it's tied up and it feels like you forgot how to play the game.

I guess I just need to play him a bunch and do as many matches as I can. It's the mental game that kills me sometimes.

You have good days, bad days and going half mad days with this sport! At least you are on the court. :(

My elbow is about a 1 on the pain scale today. I'm getting pretty excited at how fast it is healing. I'm not supposed to play this weekend though. I was sort of hoping to play Friday-Sunday. Oh well.

I feel you man. I won a match yesterday barely to a friend I can double bagel. It was at night and I swear sometimes im not used to the lights and it just throws me off. Im usually a pretty big hitter but everytime I would take my normal swing it would fly long or hit net. Had to push it around basically and my backhand was framing left and right. I need to stop playing when im tired. I play every chance I get but sometimes I think it brings my game down.

How did the hit go last night between ssgator and Ryan? I love the lights at Lake Cane. Probably the only place in town that I've never heard people (including myself) complain about the lights.

I think you nailed it. I was tired and did not even really want to play a match, but the experience of playing those 4 games before close made me realize I need to play as many matches as I can. I am just still so shaky on serve compared to where I used to be. I guess the only way to get it back may be by losing sets to people by DFs and UEs until it all clicks in.

There is no substitute for match play. When I struggle with my serve, I'll usually take some balls on a non-match day and go down to my neighborhood courts and hit maybe 50 serves. I really take my time with each one to make sure I'm getting all the mechanics correct. It usually helps me serve better the next match. If you were physically tired to begin with, that probably had a big impact on the UEs.

Our play last night was great. It was nice to meet Ryan. Funny, Mikeler, I was thinking how much I hate playing at night. Its just different. I have a hard time with the toss and timing as I toss the ball up into that black sky.

That is why I hate to play SK at night. All those lobs are maddening coming out of the darkness onto the court! Let me know the next time you are playing around 5ish so I can come over and check out your sticks. Yours is the most arm friendly racket I can find so far.

Man it was nice to meet the gator. And man he is an aggressive baseliner. Tthe lights out there was really not helping me, timing was way off. And too I play a lot more on clay. But gator we need to play again. Probably in the day time which would suit us both.
Looking forward to that next match, and hopefully I can make a game of it.
Also I'm looking forward to hit with other members, when I can. I'll be working down in Orlando for the next 10 weeks so I up for it when it permits.

Google "Who is the opposite of a pusher" and I'll bet the Gator's picture pops up on the first page!

I'm going to try and meet up with the Gator next Monday to test drive his stick. If I like it, I'll probably buy 2 of them next week.

My elbow pretty much only hurts now when I'm pulling on things like a door handle. I'm still going to take another week off just to be safe.

Heading up to ET today to swing a few of their sticks. I may do the demo program but then buy from TW since their prices are much better.

Darn, ET was closed today. So I ended up going down to a new big box store at US 27 and I-4 (if you are curious which one, just send me an email). They had Slazenger balls there which I intend to try sometime. The heaviest stick they had was the K Six-One Wilson 95 at 11.7 oz unstrung. It was 12 points head light and felt fantastic.

Looks like I'll have to learn how to string 1 piece. I've never done it before but most of the sticks I'm looking at specify it.

Anybody try the Head Prestige Pro? Read a ton of reviews on TW today and it sounds like it is my kind of stick.

Hey just putting it out there, I'll be in Orlando on Monday and would like to hit with any members after work. I got off around 630. I'm on kirkman road but I can go to the East side of town since it is on my way home as well.
Just drop me an email or just a post here I'll check it throughout the day.
Thanks.
Also I can make Thursday as well if anyone wants to play.

Next time you go out for a hit, let me know. Maybe I can take a few swings with it.

My elbow pretty much just hurts when I squeeze my hand hard, so I think I may be back full time by next weekend.

I don't want to do anything at the moment but rest my injured wing. There is just one small spot that hurts when I squeeze or pull at something hard. Nothing hurts when I do any tennis stroke.

I think I'll go to the chiropractor tomorrow and have her focus on this one area. If it feels better Tuesday, then that will be it for the chiropractor.

Swung the Head Prestige LM at a local store today. It felt good, but definitely not heavy enough.

Went up to Lake Cane and swung an unstrung Prestige Pro around. Boy that feels like my next stick. I liked the feeling of the heavier Wilson I swung the other day, but once you add the weight of the string, I think the Prestige is really going to work for me. I'm a little concerned about the Volkl being too heavy and hard on my shoulder. Read a lot of reviews on the Prestige and everyone loves it on the serve. Since I can take out almost anyone up at OTC when my serve is on, that is an important feature for me.

SSgator, I'm not sure if I can swing by Phillips Landing tomorrow. I'll call you and let you know for sure tommorrow.

I've actually got my credit card by the laptop right now. The weight and balance of the stick are what is most important to me. I can adjust to what it feels like coming off the string bed which is why I've never done a demo program. So far I've had good luck just judging sticks by how they feel in my hand. Let's hope that string of luck continues if I pull the trigger tonight for $360!

Do you string it 1 piece (recommended) or 2 piece? I can learn how to do 1 piece, but if I ever do hybrids again then I don't have a choice.

TW has 2 day shipping which is nice. Maybe I'll wait and pull the trigger on Tuesday. I'm hoping to get back into my Saturday morning rotation to play the Champ this coming weekend. Not a good matchup after a layoff, but it will definitely let me know where my game is at.
