Nadal time-wasting gem

Ummm... Federer plays to the 20/25 secs allowed in GS/other matches. He doesn't play faster than the rules allow. So why should someone be allowed to play slower than the rules allow?

I never said that he played too fast. He plays fast Period.
Again, if the umpires don't warn more often for time wasting, it's because this rule doesn't have to be followed completely. I think it didn't exist at first. It was created because some players used to abuse. Then the time allowed was still reduced. Now, 20-20 sec. is not much at all, and the umpires know it, I guess.

Rubbish. Plenty players play to the 20/25 sec rules and even if they go over, since they aren't carrying stop watches, it's usually only by about 5 secs - nothing to quibble about... but going over by 15 secs or more systematically is ridiculous. If you need that much time, maybe you should be on the senior tour

Federer is one of the quickest guys on tour. And I'm sure that it's not easy for his opponents. It puts them under such a pressure, I'm sure they would love to have a few seconds more very often. It's not criticism towards Federer. If it works for him, fine. But just to say that it's really the other extreme. He remembers me of Graf who used to rush without giving her opponents enough time to breathe between two points.

Federer plays at a fast pace, but not ridiculously fast. Capriati was ridiculously fast. Sometimes I think she waited less than 10 seconds! I remember Mauresmo asking for time during some of her service games during the 2002 US Open QF and she got so pissed!

I'm not sure that the members of the senior tour would like to deal with Nadal and Djokovic. McEnroe already complained that Rios was too young (and too performant) to be there.
