Plus, I'm not sure that's a record either. Someone should check Jimmy Connors, and see how many weeks he spent as either #1 or #2.

I thought Hafa, I mean Ralph, ooops i mean Rafa was the greatest #2 ever.

Like 150,000 years at #2.

(hey, just leg pulling as always).

I detested the American and hope that Federer (or Nadal for that matter) scrub him off all his records.

The last big record Sampras posses are the 7 Wimbledon titles. I hope Fed wins Wimbledon this year and leaves Sampras with nothing, just with some "shares"

According to the ATP website Lendl only has 280 consecutive weeks in the top 2 (although there are some weeks missing from his ranking history from the early 80s, so he might have something like 300 weeks, but might also have less than 280). He has been top 3 for 497 weeks in a row, though, which probably puts him pretty high on the "best of all-time" list for that stat. It's hard to find out Connors' stats since the ranking information from the 70s is very scarce. It is, however, quite safe to say that he has the record for having been the most consecutive weeks ranked in the top 5. Possibly even in the top 2.

This is getting way too trivial now. :)

Why the hate for Sampras? He was boring but he wasnt particularly irritating like Agassi.

if we trust our usual secret informer, connors has indeed the record for the most consecutive weeks in the top 5, and with a comfortable margin:
Jimmy Connors 659 [Sep 24, 1973 May 05, 1986]
Ivan Lendl 588 [Oct 20, 1980 Jan 20, 1992]
Pete Sampras 491 [Jan 27, 1992 Jun 18, 2001]
Roger Federer 411 [Feb 17, 2003 Dec 27, 2010]
John McEnroe 398 [Nov 20, 1978 Jun 30, 1986]
Bjorn Borg 383 [Sep 27, 1974 Jan 22, 1982]
Stefan Edberg 373 [Aug 18, 1986 Oct 04, 1993]
Rafael Nadal 295 [May 09, 2005 Dec 27, 2010]
Boris Becker 209 [Jul 04, 1988 Jun 29, 1992]
Mats Wilander 205 [Apr 18, 1983 Mar 16, 1987]
(since the creation of the ATP rankings in 1973)

I hated the way he relied on his serve most of the time. Agassi was sort of the people's champion, might as well be a different attitude cause I was around 12-14 at the time when watching the 2.

That doesn't mean of course that I'm going to say bad stuff about Sampras, he was a great champion but never my type. The only thing I like(d) about him is his service motion.

He also has good taste in women you know. That’s one thing he’s better than Agassi & Federer. :)

Bridgette Wilson > Mirka & Graf

I actually like Mirka more than Bridgette, (this has nothing to do with me being a Fedfan if you asked) she's more natural, I wouldn't mind going out with Bridgette, tho (hope Pete doesn't read this haha)

Are you sure?

I would have thought that either Connors or Lendl had more weeks overall (not consecutive but overall) as number 1 or 2 than Sampras.

And why on earth would you stop Nadal's count on December 27th? You're cheating him out of 3 weeks already...
oh my... i'm sincerly apologizing for this scandalous outrage !

but well, if there is somebody that should not complain about cheating, it has to be the nadal ! ;)
and if it makes you feel better... note that your dear roger has been cheated out of 3 weeks too. :)
