I dont mind, have to create my own verdasco character beforehand however.
I'm in, how will this work?
Once we get everyone in, I will make up a schedule and you will contact your opponent to arrange when to play. I am thinking one or 2 matches per week and lasting for 2 months. It will be very casual and low key. But I only want guys who plan on playing out all the matches. I don't want to see a lot of forfeits.
OP think you should get a list of users willing to participate on first post. Get an idea of how many people are already committed
So has anyone played any online games yet and what were they like?
I have only played offline so far, but haven't had much time yet to dive deep into the game. I would like all of us to use created characters that we model after our "real world tennis self's". I think that would be cool. But we need to figure out a limit for character points so that we are all on equal terms here. Anyone have any suggestions?
I did. It plays well online.
We do need guidelines. For all 4 styles. Otherwise we will be playing level 20 Offensive Baseliners all the time
I propose the following, a maximum of Level 11 and a minimum of 3 in all categories.
Question.....how do you keep from going over a maximum level? Is it in your control?
Yes. There are 20 total levels to allocate to 3 categories: Offensive Baseliner, Defensive Baseliner or Serve and Volley.
Each level adds stats across the border to your character, making that particular style stand out more.
You guys already played this game? how does it compare to Topspin 3 and Topsin 2? Does it play like Topspin 3 or is it more arcady this time
It's better than TS3, not arcady and goes for realistic shots. If you like real tennis, you will like this game. Not perfect, but definitely the best TS to date IMO.
No, no. Once again, let me explain:
Total levels to allocate - 20
Maximum in one category - 11
Minimum in one category - 3
Example or a valid player:
John Doe
S&V - 3
Offensive Baseline - 6
Defensive Baseline - 11
--------------------------
Total 20
Example or a valid player:
John Smith
S&V - 10
Offensive Baseline - 5
Defensive Baseline - 5
--------------------------
Total 20
Dont u think 3 to 11 is a pretty big range? Maybe it should be more like 5 to 9? I think if we leave it 3 to 11, everyone will set it up 4-11-5.
This game is amazing.
I played my first final tournament in World Tour Today and lost
a heartbreaker:
4-3 0-3 7-10 But I will return!
I'm level 14 now and it was against a 20, so I felt good pushing him to the limit. Would love to play/practice with anyone on here

Hi, so is this happening? Wasn't sure if there was something that i needed to do. My gamertag is Vonger
I might jump in if it's 20 since my guy is a 19 already. It only makes sense to be 20 because you still have coaches that can change your ratings dramatically also. My guy is balanced fairly well..9 and 9 and 3 on S&V.
