Why do some on this forum say that Federer should just hang it up after losing to Djokovic 6-2 in the last set at Indian Wells, but then nothing is said about Nadal needing to retire when loses 6-2 in the last set to Djokovic, the day afterwards?
Nadal needs to retire.
There, I've said it. Happy now?
Thanks for the post. Not really the point. The point is why are people suggesting Federer retire when he is doing as well against Djokovic as Nadal is?

Because of Federer's age and the fact he hasn't won a Major in over one year.

How many players have won a major in the past one year besides Nadal & Djokovic?
Maybe they should all retire & only let Nadal - Djokovic compete for the Majors?
Maybe the Rafole era has begun.
Buh bye, Federer.
So you agree that everyone besides Nadal & Djokovic should retire from tennis?

Federer is 0-3 this year against Djokovic and he lost the 10 USO in straights to Djokovic. Federer can't hurt Djokovic anymore. Novak has some of the best defense I have ever seen. He runs down so many otherwise winners.
