I saw a thread like this before, but wanted to take a poll with choices. How many products of the same brand go out on court with you. Don't include strings and dampeners unless you want to. I was thinking more visual items your partners would notice.

i'm a little OCD about about matching brands so all my tennis clothing is nike (mostly because that's what i've always used in sports and because their shoes fit my feet the best). so shoes, shirt, shorts all match. i wear blank wristbands and bandanas most of the time, that doesn't bother me. color matching doesn't really bother me either as long as it's not too crazy.

i also match my racket and racket bag, mostly because it'd be kinda weird to have a babolat racket with a wilson bag, at least to me it is.

i don't really care about racket/strings/dampener matching, but they all do by coincidence.

For me my shoes might match my shorts and/or shirt. I wear Nike shoes and have a couple pairs of Nike shorts and shirts. I also have Adidas and generic stuff too. I just wear the first thing I see so it's all up to chance.

adidas racquets, adidas bag, adidas towel, adidas water bottle, adidas shoes, adidas shirt, adidas shorts, adidas socks, adidas wristbands, adidas cap, adidas compression shorts, adidas watch, adidas warmups...adidas anti-perspirant, after shave, and body wash/shampoo. What's left? :)

Adidas clothes, shoes, and bag.

Adidas generally costs less than Nike, so it makes sense to just buy all adidas so you get

#1 Savings
#2 Matching clothes

Racquet & shoes are the same brand (Prince), by accident, not design. If I use Wilson balls, I can claim a match with my bag, though.

I could get some matches if I included string or dampeners. What got me thinking about this is that I was looking at some Yonex bags and play a Yonex stick. I realized that nothing I had matched. Babolat shoes, misc clothes-mostly Adidas or Nike...Never compromise bag and Wilson bag.

Apparel mainly all Adidas or Cute version t shirts on tennis players :)

When I match it usually not on purpose. I will rock adidas clothes with Nike or New Balance shoes. But I do have a Barricade bag.

However, I rarely wear Nike clothes w/o the matching kicks.

if i'm matching anything, it's matching the shoes and sock brand. Just can't stand it otherwise for some reason.
I do like it when i'm playing a full matching outfit though!

I am Schizoid

Two years ago I was a 3-4-Swoosher, depending on season: shoes, shirt, shorts and jacket when cool. I joined a clay club and was encouraged by a touring pro I strung for to try Yonex SHT306CL shoes. At the time, I played Yonex sticks. I now wear Yonex shoes exclusively (hard and clay), buy Yonex shirts (always on sale) and mix them with Nike shorts, the Nike GHOAT, and Nike jackets when cool. Alas, I switched to Head racquets last year. I may teat the V-Core 95 stick from Yonex, thanks to all the good info on TT. I guess I'm a "Ninex" or a "Yoke". Just a walking split-personality.

No Yonex shoes?

Nike apparel and shoes, Yonex tennis equipment (sans strings).

Just curious...feet are so unique so different shoes for different feet. When I tried Yonex 306's I was a dedicated Nike shoe addict. I gave them away (probably 12 pair in great condition) to a friend. I was tempted to try on some new Vapors recently but I'm still not going back. Does Yonex not match your foot-type?

I wear adidas barricade 6.0's, nike socks, adidas/nike shorts and adidas/nike/lotto shirts. It's a real mix up. I probably have other brands i haven't bothered wearing yet.

I used to wear nike dri fit caps but i havn't worn one in a match for a while. Can't be bothered to collect all of the colours. For me, white/black and grey/red are the best.

Hat/shorts always match and my shirt and shoes match for some reason. It just happens to to turn out that way most years LOL! I like to alternate! :)

I just don't care. As long as the colors don't clash too much, I don't care about brands. Today it was Head rackets in a Wilson bag, Yonex shoes, Nike shorts and a Reebok shirt.

Most other people care how you play, not how much money you spent on your outfit. Spend your money learning to play better and you'll always have plenty of people who want to play against or with you.

Why is it that those who say they don't care about what they wear always have to take this shot at those of us who do? I don't care about what other people think about what I'm wearing; I wear it because I enjoy it. I'm not out there to impress anyone with my outfits; for me, it's just fun. And just because I may spend more on my clothes than you do doesn't mean I work at my game any less than you do. So why do you have to go down that road, as if everyone who dresses well is just a poser who can't hit the ball? Maybe because that's how you justify your lack of fashion sense?

I didn't mean it as some type of attack, though I see how it could be read that way.

There's nothing wrong about wearing matching outfits, copying what the pros wear, or even collecting a particular brand as many do. One advantage to wearing an outfit is hopefully the designer put some thought into it going well together. I have a few outfits myself, but I'm mostly concerned about how the pieces look together rather than brand.
